Chomsky has not been a Jew since he was a kid and passed as a Christian to escape the nazi occupiers of Hungary. He has not been a Hungarian since the day he escaped his homeland and entered university in London. He has not been a Brit since fleeing that country in search of a fortune in the United States. Involved in the stock market he remains a predatory raider, a man of the world, and an American citizen only by accident. He has sought wealth and accumulated it; he has sought fame and is known as one of the world's great megalomaniacs; he wants to be known as an honorable man, but that he will never acheive given his myriad character flaws.
