NRA Endorses Harris

Unified Sportsmen of Florida Concur

Tampa, FL -- Congresswoman Katherine Harris, the Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate, received the endorsement of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and Unified Sportsmen of Florida. Katherine Harris has an "A" rating from the NRA, in stark contrast to Bill Nelson's "F" rating.

In a letter to Congresswoman Harris, Marion Hammer, NRA Past President and current Executive Director of Unified Sportsmen of Florida states "You [have] been consistently strong in support of Second Amendment and self-defense issues and we sincerely appreciate your solid pro-sportsmen, pro-Second Amendment, pro-freedom record. Your outstanding and unblemished record on issues important to firearms owners and sportsmen demonstrates undeniable dedication to freedom and the Bill of Rights."

Congresswoman Harris strongly supports the rights of all lawful gun owners. As Florida's next Senator, Katherine Harris will continue to support legislation defending the right to bear arms and oppose any attempts to water down our cherished 2nd Amendment rights.

Nelson - Friend of the Left Receives MoveOn.org Endorsement

Tampa, FL - Bill Nelson, Florida's lackluster incumbent in the U.S. Senate race against Republican candidate Katherine Harris, has received the endorsement of MoveOn.org, a far-left political action group well-known for its defamatory television ads and radical attempts to recklessly pull our troops out of Iraq. Bill Nelson attempts to portray himself as a moderate, but his liberal voting record and political endorsement by MoveOn.org provide a much different picture of who Nelson actually represents.

Congresswoman Harris comments "I am not surprised by MoveOn.org's decision to endorse my opponent. Bill Nelson is out of touch with Florida values, and his record of opposing tax cuts and flip-flopping on important issues like off-shore drilling demonstrate why this race is so important for Florida."

MoveOn.org is heavily funded by George Soros, international financier and outspoken critic of the United States. Following the tragic events of September 11th, MoveOn.org decried U.S. attacks on Afghanistan, sympathizing with governments that harbor terrorists and insisting that these nations should not be held accountable for terrorist's crimes against our people. Driven to pull our troops out of Iraq at any cost, MoveOn.org produced inflammatory television ads depicting an American soldier descending into quicksand with a rifle held overhead in a surrendering posture. In another ad, Republicans were attacked for providing critical funds to ensure basic provisions for our soldiers in Iraq.

Bill Nelson can attract the endorsement of a group like MoveOn.org because his record in the Senate is far from mainstream. Nelson has voted against tax cuts, against marriage, against the Partial Birth Abortion Ban and he has voted for legislations that grants amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants, at great cost to our economy and national security.

As revealed in an article last year in the St. Petersburg Times, MoveOn.org circulated an email boasting of its power to influence the Democratic Party, declaring "Now it's our party: we bought it, we own it, and we're going to take it back." In an effort to "take back" the Democratic Party, MoveOn.org recently asserted its political might to help oust Joe Lieberman, a highly respected, devout moderate Democrat from Connecticut, from the Party's ticket. This is just one example of MoveOn.org's aggressive campaign to target mainstream Democrats and move the Party to the far-left. MoveOn.org champions an extreme agenda that is dangerous for America and certainly does not line up with Florida's values. Bill Nelson may benefit monetarily from MoveOn.org's ringing endorsement, but Florida deserves better!

Sorry for the delayed pings, folks. I just got back to Florida after a five-day software developers conference, and I am now currently suffering a sever bought of shingles. Gonna be a couple of weeks until I'm fully operational again, so I won't be around as much as usual.

BillyBoy, you are out of control, and your nutcase posts do nothing more than make people distance thenselves from your pathetic candidate. So keep it up. You're doing a great job shooting yourself and your boy in the foot.

Put that in your corn-cob pipe and smoke it.

>> You live a thousand miles away, and all you know about the race is what's in the mainframe media and what's in the MoveOn 'astroturfing' script that's plastered all over the web. You probably shouldn't rely on those to form your opinion of what might happen <<

No, my "opinion" on Harris campaign is based on the first three Sebate campaign managers (Jim Dornan, followed by Jamie Miller, followed by Glen Hodas), first four chiefs-of-staff, and numerous people who intimately knew every detail of her campaign and quit after "serving" as her right hand for months on end.

From PERSONAL experience, they all say she is an unelectable maniac who micromanages everything, screws up basic facts, resorts to stupid lies about other Republicans, refuses to listen to paid campaign consultants, and flies into baseless temper tantrums and rants against her most loyal supporters.

If you think they were misquoted by the "liberal media", perhaps you'd like to call or write some of her ex-staffers personally.

My opinion is obviously not based on what the socialists on MoveOn.org and DU have to say, since if you visit those boards you'll find they rooting for Harris to win the primary. The Dems are very excited at the prospect of Katherine Harris being the face of the GOP in FL.

LMAO!!!! A HARRIS SUPPORTER is saying this? That's rich! Wow, YOUR candidate started off losing by 4 points and NOW you're losing by 43 -- and you're lecturing ME about "doing a great job shooting yourself and your boy in the foot". Sadly, If I was a nutcase who kept shooting myself in the foot, you'd be demanding I get nominated for a U.S. Senate seat.

I will happy to "keep it up". McBride and Collins continue to GAIN support.

Meanwhile, here's how YOUR gal is doing while you "keep up" your posts:

I am now currently suffering a sever bought of shingles.

I'll never say you are too young to have shingles. I got it when I was 16. Ouch!

Hang in there. I hope you are taking something from the acyclovir family to hasten recovery.

Wow--your posts look a tad out of control. You still don't know about Florida politics either. Harris has faced each one of her primary opponents in several meet-the-candidate forums to date. Just because you are ignorant of the facts, doesn't mean you are correct.

We look forward to watching you rant for the next four days. By then you'll be using 20-point fonts. And all caps, just like Forecaster Bevin. The wind coming out of your mouth will be going 150 knots. It'll be whirling in even tighter circles than it is now. And then — just like that — you'll get squashed like a bug.

Splat.

Ah, the hypocrisy is astonishing. Katherine Harris goes off and rants that not electing Christians is a sin and that McBride changed his last name from Rodiriguez and you defend her "rants" tooth-and-nail.". I use font size you dislike and you accuse me of being a maniac. If your hero Kathy was posting on here saying space aliens had sabotaged her campaign, you'd be first in line to defend her.

I enjoy laughing at your delusions that Harris has an oh-so-wonderful campaign despite the fact she's 43 points behind Nelson, but sadly, if you lunatics manage to get a plurality of the vote in the primary, Bill Nelson will win in a cakewalk. Nelson should send a thank you letters to all you "red stater Harris supporters" for helping the Dems in the fall election.

Why don't you put down the crack pipe, and try to give reasoned responses? - Your writings read like you are typing from a mental institution.

Harris is going to win the primary in a walk and the number one smartest thing to do is concentrate on Nelson, not worry about debatpng a handful of losers who won't come within 20 points of her.

Hi Joe.....sorry to hear that you got shingles....ouch!

Mine were very painful but the Doc gave me some cream to ease the sting. If you start on the acyclovir early enough your case should be milder.

Take care!
