Gabler's Gripe: Karr Crimped Katrina Coverage

I don't know about you, but by the end of the Bush-bashing festival that was the MSM's coverage of the one-year Katrina anniversary, I was about ready to climb up on my roof with a bedsheet message begging to be evacuated by helicopter.

Neal Gabler also had a complaint about the Katrina anniversary coverage: there wasn't enough of it.

On this evening's Fox News Watch, Gabler made his comment in the context of the panel's discussion of the John Mark Karr fiasco. Griped Gabler:

"The embarrassment isn't that he wasn't guilty, the embarrassment is the disproportionate amount of coverage he got even if he had been guilty. The problem is there [were] virtually no [TV news] minutes devoted to Katrina on the eve of the Katrina anniversary."

Could it be that when he's not on FNW, Neal inhabits Pluto? Anyone living in this solar system surely could not have escaped the flood of Katrina coverage last week.

"...Clown Car Media (CCM)..."

I like that, M. Amost as good as the "drive-by media", IMO!

LOL. I saw that. I just knew you would spot it. I was just about ready to say that I agreed with Gabler, which made me mildly ill, and he went to the "real" story that should have been covered. Saved me, it did.

BDS. I like it. This disorder should be immediately written into the DSM-IV.

I'll agree that Karr was one of the most useless and disgusting stories I'd ever seen on TV. Watching a paedophile fly in and discuss what the cuisine was like on the flight, the MSM was basically idolizing a common pervert like he was Michael Jackson or somebody.

Fox Newswatch is one of the few yap shows I watch. I think Neil Gabler is a seething, nancyboy. He's a vile douchebag. I could go on and on about Gabler. He's perfect for this show though. He opens his mouth, spews out some leftist crapola, then Cal Thomas (or Rich Lowry) & Jim Pinkerton slap him down. Damn fine entertainment that.

Did I mention that Neil Gabler is a preening douchebag?? That really doesn't get mentioned enought.

I find Gabler and Alan Colms so disgustingly revolting I just don't watch the shows they are on.

I'm with you. Gabler is just a liberal troll that's been dipped in pubic hair. I stopped watching Hannity & Colms some time ago. I can't stand Colms and I can't stand the incoherent noise that results when several people talk at once.

I'd also add Juan Williams to my list but he's usually called out on his BS democrap talking points early on. Then he just sits there with that same blank look on his face that my dog gets when I put him on the phone.

Have you noticed, though, how Bush made Ernesto miss the Gulf area? And how gas prices are now mysteriously going down? Could it have anything to do with the election coming up?

Gabler is on that show to make conservatives mad. He does what Eleanor Clift used to do on the McLaughlin show before he went full moonbat himself.

The good people of Cameron had the sense God gave them to get out when they were told to get out. They haven't pissed and moaned about the government not doing anything for them, yada, yada, yada. Southwest Louisiana and all of Southeast Texas got hit badly and have rebounded. The only major loss of life was due to the bus fire near Dallas. Cameron, Creole, Holly Beach and Johnsons Bayou will be back before the Doofasses in NOLA even wake up. No Nagin, Landrieu or Blanco in the way.

Same here. On the upside, Alan Colmes radio show appears to have been pulled in Dallas.

I am wondering if they will do a special on Rita. Rita was the same size as Katrina and it wiped out the city of Cameron, LA.

I want news coverage on the anniversary of General Russell Honore telling the reporters, in preparation for dealing with Rita, that "they are stuck on stupid".

"I wonder if Karr will confess that he killed Natalee Hollaway?"

I'm sure he'd like a champagne flight to Aruba where he could be the center of attention for a few weeks, but even the feckless justice system of Aruba isn't as dumb as DA Lacy of Boulder.

STUNNING. At least the folks remembered Audry from 1957. If a big thunderstorm pops up offshore they consider leaving.

Exactly, they didn't touch the news story of the year: Joseph Wilson/Valerie Plame are frauds and the press and Special Prosecutor knew it all along.

Give Neal Gabler a break folks. If you were born without a brain, you too would talk and act like an idiot and moron combined. Such a piece of waste is Mr. Galber. Now, you all fret about the MSM coverage and fawning about Hurricane Katrina. Frankly Scarlett, no one with half a brain gives a damn. These fools can rant all they want, but a quick look at TX, MS, FL, & AL show great progress and uplift from within. The state of Louisiana has a problem, a few problems like Kathleen Blanco, Ray "Chocolate" Nagin, William "Felon" Jefferson, The Congressional "racist" Black Caucus, Mary "the witch" Landrieu, etc., not mention no police department, no fire department, no hospitals, no public schools, no city services in NOLA, courtesy of enlightened Black leadership. NOLA now joyfully joins Cleveland, Detroit, etc. as the dregs cities in America brought to you by the Democrat Party and their third world race mongers. You know, there are millions of ultra talented Black folk in this USA. Too bad they don't realize what really has been done to them in a negative fashion by the Democrat "slavery" Party and their present Black leadership. The week of MSM crying and bad mouthing GW Bush over Katrina was a waste of time. As for Gabler, let's how old Neal yells when Bin Laden and company slit his Jewish throat. What a waste of humanity!!!
