NOONAN LEADS FIGHT AGAINST THREAT TO PARENTAL RIGHTS
American Independent Party of California ^

Posted on 09/02/2006 7:38:01 PM PDT by Brian Sears

Edward C. Noonan, American Independent Party nominee for Governor of California, is an established leader in the effort to protect the rights of parents to teach their children parental and social family values, rather than those demanded by politicians and educational bureaucrats. This year, Noonan led opposition to three bills in the Legislature which he believed would force “the bedroom into the classroom” while “locking the parents out.”

One of the bills would have required all California school districts to increase awareness and prevent discrimination based on “perceived gender identity and sexual orientation.” Noonan says that the bill would require “that the school curriculum for all grade levels contain positive messages on such things as homosexuality, bi-sexuality and transgenderism. As a result, he says, “it is inevitable that the rights of parents to teach their children their own values and perspective on these sexual behaviors and lifestyles will simply be ignored.”

Thanks to the efforts of Noonan and others, none of the three offensive bills has been enacted; but the battle isn’t over. For an update on this legislation, contact Noonan at ecnoonan@2extreme.net.

He's a minor party candidate. Are we tilting against the windmills?

(No more Olmert! No more Kadima! No more Oslo! )

Arnold isn't exactly inspiring and he will win so if I lived out there I'd probably vote for this guy because my conscience couldn't bring me to vote Republican for governor.

I would vote McClintock for Lt. Governor, though.
