ALARM - Arrest of number 2 of Al-Qaïda in Iraq

Great news
Iraq says detains No. 2 in Iraqi al Qaeda
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The second most senior figure in al Qaeda in Iraq was arrested a few days ago, National Security Adviser Mowaffak al-Rubaie told a news conference on Sunday.
He named the man as Hamed Juma Faris al-Suaidi, also known as Abu Humam or Abu Rana, and said he was the deputy to Abu Ayyub al-Masri, who took over the Sunni Islamist insurgent group after U.S. troops killed Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in June.
At first I thought the Iraqi National Security Adviser was arrested.
I can see how the phrasing of the news flash could cause that misunderstanding.
Another one bites the dust!
Yep. That and the wording of the translation.
But, I am nonetheless elated that another scumbag has been nabbed.
Terrible news.
He should be dead.
Maybe a Democrat can negotiate with him
The DNC looses another speech writer.
LNAO!
I mean LMAO! Damn these beers...
I had almost decoded you

Hamed Jumaa Farid al-Saeedi, known as Abu Humam or Abu Rana, was arrested a few days ago, Mouwaffak al-Rubaie said.
He was the No. 2 in al-Qaida in Iraq after slain leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, al-Rubaie said. He was also responsible for the person who carried out the bombing of a Shiite shrine in Samarra in February, he said.
"He's the second man in the organization," al-Rubaie said.
The suspect was "directly responsible for the criminal Haitham al-Badri, the mastermind and the bomber of the Samarra shrine," he added.
The bombing of the Shiite shrine in February inflamed tensions between Shiite and Sunni Muslims and triggered reprisal attacks that continue to this day.
"As we promised our people we will relentlessly continue our war on terror," the national security adviser said.
