I personally know that in almost all workplaces, people are chafing under oppressive management which sets attendance rules, policy, etc. that the employees are expected to follow to a tee or be terminated.#1...just how do you know that?
#2...what's wrong with management setting attendance rules, policy?
#3...Get a grip.

I'm disturbed by the increasing number of companies that are dictating their employee's behaviour OFF the job as well as on. Several companies don't allow their employees to smoke even off of company ground. What's next? Even some have given their obese employees notice they have to lose weight or possibly lose their job. What's next? We're losing rights every single day.

#2...what's wrong with management setting attendance rules, policy? Nothing, as long as they use realistic measures and apply it fairly. When driving 35 miles through gridlocked rush hour traffic, I left 2 hours before work. That worked fine except for an occasional day when there was a serious accident. Management told everyone that being even one minute late would not be tolerated. I and the other older long term employees were fired. Younger, cheaper employees and (dare I say it?) pretty women were allowed to be late or absent all they wanted. Life is a bitch.

#2...what's wrong with management setting attendance rules, policy? How I know is really no one's business. Management can set just about any rule they wish. I don't have a problem with it. It's the lack of adherence to rules by some 30 million illegals & others that is bothering me. Oh, I have a grip. You don't have a clue how much of a grip I have and on what I have a grip.
