Maybe you should have the cajones to post to someone you're talking about.
Your question was ridiculous. From the beginning, I merely pointed out that it was pretty lame and shallow to be passing judgement on somebody who has been through something that not one person here has. And who is to say how a person would be feeling at this point? Maybe they are under instruction not to make any public statements one way or another.
Point is - nobody knows for sure, especially those hiding behind their computer keyboards and passing judgement.
So how in the world does that make me need to choose between the reporter and Patrick Henry? Answer: it doesn't. They are two different people from two different eras, two different situations - in fact, one has ZERO to do with the other.
This thread contains many fine examples of the "dark side" of FR. Folks who do nothing but pass judgement and insult those who aren't "true conservatives" in their eyes, or dare to point out their ridiculous behavior.
Everyone has a right to their opinion, and you're making this much too personal. Centanni, by virtue of his profession and his face-time on TV, is a public figure working in the public forum and thus, his actions invite discussion.
That's just how it is.
But Patrick Henry didn't live in such different times as we do now. It's pretty short-sighted to think we're all so much more sophisticated than our ancestors of a mere 10 generations ago.
You dismiss me as an idiot, and then you get uppity when I suggest to someone that his comment about my "ridiculous" question might more appropriately be directed to you.
You need to realize that you are not the only one here at FR who advanced beyond the fourth grade. You have little idea who I am or what my academic credentials are. In mocking me, it is quite likely that you are demeaning yourself more than me.
