That's why it's time for a separation of school and state.
I saw Miss Steinem speak about 10 years ago. She said that heterosexual intercourse is the cause of all violence and that monotheism is the root of all evil. I'm not joking or exaggerating, she really said that.
Oh yes, vouchers are in order! Competition would save schools.
Proving that she is even dumber than I thought she was.
Concerning Ann Coulter and Phylis Schafly, both are lawyers and could easily have made a ton of money doing law work. What could Steinem have done with the fem-nazi movement? ? Oh yeah, maybe she would have been a decent Playboy bunny.
They act as if they have no venue for their ideas...Ever hear of THE VIEW? And that Condoleeza Rice comment is so RACIST, and they don't even see it.
Actually, Gloria, to quote you, this country needs another left wing women's program like "a fish needs a bicycle."
I'm not going to disagree with that, but what some people should realize is that a lot of what feminism takes credit for, the major movement of women into the workforce, would have taken place without them. The fact is the trend was that post WW II for American families to have less children, more Americans of both sexes furthering their educations including finishing college, and the modern age addition of millions of non-heavy labor, white collar jobs. If there were no Steinems and Freidans to poison the atmosphere with their male and America bashing, women would have made the same gains. But our country wouldn't have been so nearly harmed by the fem-nazis.
Not only that apparently since she got married a few years back, fish are now riding bicycles. That recalls Steinem's most (in)famous quote "a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle".
HAHA!! Hildy hits it outta the park!! Nice one, babe...
I believe her husband, who was Christian Bale's father, died several years ago. I am sure that they had a "wackey" wedding ceremony performed by a druid priest or something like that.
