Fashion styles change too fast for laws to keep up. Dallas is just getting around to banning "baggy" pants, and they are already going out of style. They should just go ahead a write the law to ban "anything those scary black people are wearing."

I wear cargo shorts. But no - I don't expose my underwear in public.

Council member Gary Griffith said he does not favor taking policemen and women off patrol to track down and chase young people on how theyre dressing. Thats not the right use of our police force. It wouldn't take much chasing. It's hard to run with your pants down around your knees.

I heard the dropping pants style started from prison, where the dominant prisoner can checkout the a** of the newbies that they are preying on...

One school made it part of the dress code that pants/shorts cannot be two sizes larger than what fits the students.

Not a good idea. It would make law enforcement's job more difficult.

Yeah,
there's something government should be sticking its nose in. Establishing dress codes.

Every time I see someone dressed like this I want to yell at them to pull their pants up.

"Some Dallas City Council members are raising concerns about police attention being diverted to fashion instead of crime."
That's not a hard problem to solve, raise a new volunteer force of "fashion police" There will be plenty of volunteers ;)

Another one of those "I won't ever but won't use the force of law to stop you from doing it" events.
Nothing wrong with good old fashioned social pressure to enforce community standards, but pul-eeeze!

Law enforcement shouldn't advocate banning baggy pants. It makes it harder for perps to run...
That said, last weekend I had my son at the water park. Wearing the baggy pants style with a swimsuit, even if you've got your calvins on, is just plain stupid.
