The Terri Factor...a feeble attempt to besmirch a candidate: (Nebraska)

Voters in the 1st Congressional District should send Republican Rep. Jeff Fortenberry back to Washington for a second term.

Snip

A response:

"You forgot an important reason why someone ought NOT vote for Fortenberry. Terry Schiavo. Mr. Fortenberry voted with the pack that wanted to interfere with the most sacred commitment - a marriage and say they knew better than the husband what the wife wanted. The Supreme Court slapped Congress back to their side of the Constitution for that. Do you, the voters of the First District, want someone who voted that way to represent you? For shame Journal Star for this endorsement."

Fortenberry is our choice in 1st District

The Terri Factor...(Idaho)

That wasn’t the only time the congressman’s libertarian streak disappeared. Otter also voted for the 2005 House bill intervening in the Terri Schiavo case, overruling Florida courts to keep a brain-damaged woman on life support. He has voted for all the Republican iterations of immigration reform, even when they criminalized Good Samaritans who aid illegals. (“We need to get the border under control,” Otter says, “and then we can decide what to do about the people who are already here.”) He has voted for several versions of campaign finance limits.

The answer is: They cannot.

I recall Gloria Allred saying (in reference to Terri) something to the effect that death is so final, why not err in favor of life. Many others have expressed similar opinions.

Not to change subjects for more than a moment, this is what John Kerry meant to say.

>> "You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you can do well. If you don't, if you get a bunch of D's, you get stuck in Vietnam like I was."

But he botched it and said "Iraq" instead of "Vietnam."

If he had one he could have said, "I raq my brain."

And that goes across the board. I was touched by the number of people who had far ranging ideas of religion yet were baffled that one could err in favor of death.

Har, now Kerry is caught between Iraq and a hard place. Didja see the thread on his canceling campaign commitments today?

He is rivaling Mikey in giving out the death kiss to candidates.

Heads Up! All Scheduled Kerry Functions for 11/1/06 cancelled

>> How Can a Secular Society Claim Anyone is “Better Off Dead”?

That's easy. Ask a trial lawyer! Especially a spiritually awakened one such as George Felos. He will channel the dead person for you. True, he charges more than other spiritual advisors and fortune tellers, but he, er, uh, the dead person will tell you exactly what you want to hear!

Mr. Felos, apparently sober, spoke thus to an earlier client, Estelle Browning:

>> “‘Mrs. Browning, do you want to die? … Do you want to die?’—I near shouted as I continued to peer into her pools of strikingly beautiful but incognizant blue. It was so eerie. Her eyes were wide open and crystal clear, but instead of the warmth of lucidity, they burned with the ice of expressionlessness.”

Mrs. Browning's unspeaking innards replied, yes, she did want to die, thank you very much. And that took care of that. And you doubt that the dead are better off?!?

John Edwards, another trial lawyer, famously channeled an unborn baby, made millions by it, and ruined the practice of obstetrics. Today, when a woman gets a C-section, chances are high that Edwards put her through the extra pain of surgery. Not to mention some scars that hot wax won't remove.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is a lawyer. She has hardly any trial experience, yet she could channel Eleanor Roosevelt! Mrs. Roosevelt told her that her husband Franklin cheated too.

No you're still wrong, what he meant to say is:

"If you don't, if you get a bunch of D's, you get grain of rice stuck in your ass in Vietnam like I did."

And he'll answer to God for it.

Even Pilate tried to avoid making a judgement and washed his hands later. Where does that put Greer?

On a slightly less reverential note, I should like to thank the blessed St. Fu, patron of trolls.

Well, Greer didn't wring his hands during that Holy Week, just said Terri should die. I don't think Whittemore agonized over the decision, just dawdled to let the clock run out as Terri's chances for recovery from the dehydration slipped away. Both had stains washing does not remove.

Yes, we can be thankful to St. Fu for the silence.

Sacred, yes, Mikey agrees! He was getting Jodi Centonze pregnant one night and he said, "You know, honey, I want to do more than shack up with you and make babies. As soon as I bump off my wife and get the inheritance, let's get married."

Growing up I had a neighbor who was in Aushwitz and he told me one time of the subtle hand gesture that Mengele used when his brother was sent to the gas chamber due to a slight limp. I'm sure there's old films somewhere that Greer could use.

Father God,

May every wicked one, whose action or inaction
resulted in Terri's murder, receive your perfect
justice in your perfect timing.

Please let it be in our lifetime.

Shower Terri's family with your comfort and love, this
day and every day.

In Jesus name,

Amen
