Better get use to calling Reid "Majority Leader Reid" in a about 2 months. The Republicans have turned into a liberal governing party and will pay dearly for it.

Get ready for some wonderful tax increases from good ole Harry and Co.

I like this. The WH seems to start fire back. This is what Bush people should have done since long time ago.

Your letter recites four elements of a proposed “new direction” in Iraq. Three of those elements reflect well-established Administration policy; the fourth is dangerously misguided

Bwahahahaha! Go, Josh, GO!!!!!!!

"Because your letter lacks specifics, it is difficult to determine exactly what is contemplated by the “phased redeployment” you propose. (One such proposal, advanced by Representative Murtha, a signatory to your letter, suggested that U.S. forces should be redeployed as a “quick reaction force” to Okinawa, which is nearly 5,000 miles from Baghdad).

Love the dig at John al-Murtha and his ludicrous Okinawa proposal!! Has he figured out yet where Okinawa is, or the fact that fragile relations with the Okinawa locals make it impossible to consider ramping up US military presence there, even if it were not 5,000 miles from Iraq?

We appreciate your stated interest in working with the Administration...

Bolton had to gag on writing that line.

Democrats are quick to criticize President Bush for so called failures. But the Democrats are one of, if not the main contributing factor because they block intelligence gathering, they oppose the Patriot Act, they favor open borders, one of the main subjects of security in the 9-11 report.

They continue to obstruct progress but are quick to point out that nothing is being done. they smokescreen the term retreat, and cut and run as political slogans.

and they want to remove Rumsfeld because he is the problem. Rumsfeld is the Democrats problem because he won't bow to their vicious panzy attacks.

The Democrats have nothing soluable to offer except that they want Bush out and do things their way.whatever it is. I don't think they have a clue as to what they would do if they could regain power. they just want to be in power.

Sad sad sad. Block progress and blame Bush that nothing is getting done, or going right. The problems are not of President Bush's making, but the Democrats.

Harry was deeply saddened upon reading that letter, he found out he and the Dems are not choosing cabinet heads nor dictating the WOT.

As our department memo and letter screener at work. I must say, this is one hell of a well written letter! I can't find flaws anywhere in it. I'm in awe!

Substantively it's dead on, and completely disarms the liberal's arguments point by point. Especially the argument regarding Rumsfeld resigning.

Reid is such a misguided, moronic idiot. (And that's sugar-coating it.) Today, I heard the moron say on the radio that terrorist attacks are up by 400%. I wonder if he's shootin' it, smokin' it or snortin' it. Up 400% from when? Up 400% where? Surely not in America. Reid is a real moron and those that elected him are even bigger morons.

I'll bet that left a mark!

I would have added: "Finally, Sir, the fact that your party can't win elections yet believes it can make important decisions regarding foreign policy during these dangerous times indicates just how out of touch with reality you are."
