Washington – Likud Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu said he saw cracks in the Iranian leadership during a visit to Washington.

Netanyahu, who met with US Vice President Dick Cheney and a group of senators, said that the Iranian nuclear program could be stopped if the United States led a determined campaign.

Speaking to reporters in the American capital at the end of the meeting, Netanyahu said he did not think Iran's program was irreversible.

The Likud chairman met with 15 American senators, and said he was surprised by the level of their distress and worry over the developments in Iran.

'Iranians testing the water'

Netanyahu said the senators asked him about the military option. He responded by saying that it would have be a layer in addition to sanctions. If there was a military option – there was a large chance that it would not have to be used at all, Netanyahu said. He added that the Iranians were attempting to test their room for maneuver.

Tehran is refusing to end uranium enrichment in accordance with UN Security Council demands because it is not harmed as a result of its refusal, Netanyahu added.

He said, however, that there were cracks within the Iranian leadership and regime. If Iran understood that there was an economic price, there is a chance they would end their nuclear program, Netanyahu said, adding that up now Iran was not paying any price.

The Likud leaders stressed that Iran is not only threatening Israel.

Israel would be the first target of Iran's nuclear weapons, but not it's last, Netanyahu said.

He refused to give details about his meeting with Cheney, but said that the people he spoke with in Washington understood the danger.

What are you talking about? Please be more specific. All we need is the stupid Demcrats to get out of the way of U.S. production and our need for Iran's oil is over.

Oil Pool Tapped in Gulf of Mexico Could Boost U.S. Reserves by 50 Percent

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A trio of oil companies led by Chevron Corp. has tapped a petroleum pool deep beneath the Gulf of Mexico that could boost the nation's reserves by more than 50 percent. A test well indicates it could be the biggest new domestic oil discovery since Alaska's Prudhoe Bay a generation ago.

Well I am glad I am not the only one who is distressed and worried.

Me too - we ate dinner out last night...overheard some people talking about going to Israel. We asked them if they still had family there, and if any were in the military. We thanked them and told them to tell those in the Iraeli military thank you, too. They couldn't have been more appreciative of our breaking into their conversation and voicing our opinion.

The beast we are up against is horrible. Thank goodness there are a few others in the world that understand how beastly it truly is and have the huevos to do something about it, too.

Reid was asking what he thought the chances of success were of a Democrat attack on the WH.
