Unfortunately Ha'aretz seems to be the LA Times of Israel. In tactical terms the Hezbos lost land and much valuable equipment. In the press, the Hezabos did much better; but the press, especially the Western liberal media, are sycophants to any anti-American, anti-Israel terrorist. The problem with the situation in S. Lebanon is that now the UN is involved and the largest contributors of troops so far seem to be Islamonazi countries.
There is the possibility that some of the Likud renegades in Kadima, rueing the day on which they decided to throw in their lot with that ill-starred political creation, will return to the ranks of the Likud. And that some of the Labor rejects, now eating humble pie, will be mercifully accepted into the ranks of Labor. And that a politically reshuffled Knesset will bring down the Olmert government and vote confidence in a new prime minister and his government....and then, the pixies will bear everyone off to fairyland.

What Olmert should be shot for is leaving his 3 soldiers in terrorist hands. I stand by that, Olmert, and anyone who thinks he did right in this little set to, are the ones who should be ashamed! And yes, having been in a situation where my buddies came and pulled me out of a situation, I would volunteer to shoot this worthless POS for leaving his guys out there to be tortured and killed.
The whole war was fought because of the kidnapping and killing of Israeli soldiers but he let it end without retrieving them. This is the loss Israel suffered.
