One more time.....it is the privilege of the PRESIDENT and no one else!
And the idea that the Administration was "forced" to do this by the likes of the New York Times is laughable.
No, that comment is what is laughable.
Like al-Libi, who was caught pretty recently?
OOOOhhhhh. The big, bad NYT - that makes the President bend its will.
I live in that area, and I drove past the Galleria where the President was speaking. Predictably, there were RAT protestors (maybe about 30-40 of them) lined up on Cobb Parkway right by the Galleria. Too bad we didn't have a counter-protest there.
Pretty funny.
Then you base an entire 'argument'........such as it is.........on your supposition of what you imagine people would have thought or said.
I'd say your entire presence on this thread is a joke, lug, and that's why I'm not addressing any of your guesswork and trying to seriously discuss it with you.
At least three people have lined up reasoned responses to your faulty arguments (Miss Marple, Peach and Just a Nobody), and you have failed in refuting the facts that they have presented.
I'm not big into wasting time, and even this response is more than you deserve based on what you have previously said.
So, good day, lug. Come up with a new template, because this one has failed you miserably. In other words, stop making things up and coming on threads with the express purpose of causing trouble based on false premises.
Too bad your brakes were working...j/k. ;o)
Sheesh.........you'd think they'd come a little tougher than that these days.... :)
But you still just spew and won't address the issue I raised. So I'll ask directly, if you have the stones to answer:
Prior to yesterday, did you support granting rights to HVT detainees? Did you support granting them rights set forth in the Geneva Convention? If so, did you ever make a statement of such support?
Prior to yesterday, did you support having any kind of judicial process, constrained by the rights mentioned above, to adjudge the guilt or innocence of the HVT detainees? If so, did you ever make a statement of such support?
I'm sure I won't get an answer to those questions, and I'd bet the answer is 'no.' to all of them.
Sorry, I was off another less blatent one. Good job! ;*)
Come to think of it, the idiot wearing the Bush mask and waving at me could have been a pretty tempting target. I was giving them a thumbs down. They thought I was giving Bush a thumbs down...until I drove past and they could see my Bush/Cheney '04 bumper sticker in my rear window!
It's just that I'm discerning about what's worth reading, and your many posts on this thread have revealed that your words aren't among them.
Too late, luggy. And good bye.

Come back and make up some more stuff I didn't say when you get a chance.
Ahh...here's the problem. Ya used the wrong finger. ;o)
Maybe when you're having a more rational day...... Bye.
Anyone with a thimbleful of sense knows that if you had expressed even a shred of support for those things before yesterday, you'd certainly say so. It speaks for itself.
Now quit posting to me. Please.
Ooohhhhh, right -- the "California Howdy"! (Ellie May Clampett in the "Beverly Hillbillies" movie)
Just an aside here...I forgot to check for any Guy Fawkes masks in the group...the DUmmies are so "in love" with that "V for Vendetta" movie and they think there are so many parallels with what Bush is doing.
