Begs the question......What took him so long to figure this out???? The Dims have been hammering away for years! With little effect. People tend to remember the last thing they've heard, and big things tend to color their response to any attempt at rebuttal. The Bush team knows this, and also that it's best to hold off until it actually matters, in order to make sure your message is actually heard. Yesterday's speech cut the D's off at the knees, precisely because it was a specific and well-timed speech.

He has himself partially to blame for his anemic poll figures, as he should have fought back much more aggressively. By the way, where's Cheney???
