I don't know what happened to her but she does deserve some privacy if she was abducted. If she took off of her own free will, that's a bit different.
That was Matthew Shepherd.
"What's a little beating in an Islamic household?"
A sign you are loved???? /sarc on/
Didn't the runaway bride cut off her own hair?
You really need to take your meds. There are some comments upthread about her being a runaway bride. OTOH, my first comment on this thread raised the likelyhood that she was kidnapped.
Go read your original post - you appeared to express disbelief in the fact that a muslim male would have beaten her. That's what I was trying to point out.
Don't misquote me to make your point. Point out a single comment where I am "happy" or "insensitive."
I don't know - the Koran probably claims such a thing!! I know it is a fact that the Koran considers a woman to be 1/4 of a man.
As a result of this stupid equation, even a muslim woman who is raped has to find 4 male witnesses to collaborate her statement for it to be considered in a court of law. We see this time and again in cases involving these poor women.
The story quoting her Father-in-law said her head was shaved. If she normally colored her hair, what is left might be darker.
NO - you are WRONG. Disbelief that it would be posted here that she must have run off with a muslim man before knowing what happened to her.
I did NOT say that!! My earlier comment stands - don't misquote me to make your point.
This assumption I think is the problem with many on this thread.
I think it is way to soon to assume anything regarding this situation. Gone for three or four days...head hair dyed and shaved...found alone and beaten...
Lets wait until we hear from her or her superiors before we open her up to ridicule. It seems also to me that lately the military is a little less likely to forgive misconduct because "they ARE more emotionally unstable"
Sorry, I just had to take a swipe at ABC. LOL I joke, but if they cut the 9-11 movie for Clinton's sake, they will have lost what little credibility they had left, and that's not much!
A fool you'll stay!! I didn't say you did! LOL!
I was responding to what you said my first post was referring to. You were WRONG about what it meant.
Please, I have no more patience for this crap.
Okay, all-knowing wise one!!
Don't forget to read the Koran though; it helps to know something about one's enemies.
Did the kidnappers shave her hair to shame her for being a woman without a hardscarf? Or did they shave her head to disguise her appearance so they could smuggle her out of the country for prostitution?
Having been kidnapped and assaulted is a possibility; at this point the Pentagon is not saying that.
Your other point suggests she's scatterbrained. This is an officer in a dangerous country. She should know enough to be aware of her surroundings and situation. She's been in country for months. That mean to me either she was forcibly kidnapped or she was AWOL.
Yeah, but why let facts get in the way?

Yes I took that statement as a more general statement. Others may be right that it is more precise and said less than I saw in it.
