It is also easy to misunderstand, until you get the drift of someone's writing style.
Irony and Sarcasm can be missed in discussions like these on the Internet, one of the main reason there are the smiley face icons, sarcasm tabs, and so on.
Satire is very difficult to convey online, especially when doing satire on liberals, since their outlandish behavior is not much different than any satire someone could think up. I have always subscribed to the theory that for satire to be effective, there must be a delta from reality. Otherwise you are just talking current events...
You still haven't stated what you mean and one would suspect that is because you know your bigotry will betray you. Good luck with that.
Well you see now. You keep telling me what I mean when you are afraid to say what you mean. So, I'll take the time to flesh it out for you. Not that it will mean anything to an irrational bigot, but here you go.
You are wrong. I don't believe any religion is a peaceful endeavor.
All religions have elements that misapply the words written. All religions have an arrogant assertion of legitimacy. All religions have at one time or another been exceptionally brutal to other faiths. It seems to be a human fraility. Right now, you are only fixated on current events even though you justify your bigotry by ignoring 5000 years of human history and focusing on Mohammed only.
Jews killing Jews is bad. Christians killing Christians is bad. Musllims killing Muslims is bad. Shintoists killing Shintoists is bad.
The vast majority of Jews, Christians, Musllims and Shintoists are kind and considerate of others. But within these groups are crazy bastards who must be exposed and destroyed so that the majority can live a relatively peaceful life.
You are making a serious error to think that islamo-fascists only hate Jews. They hate everyone. Jews just happen to live on the same block.
We won't ever heal the divide by condemnation of an entire culture because short of massive biological warfare that would be impossible. We should only concentrate on the overtly hostile elements within every cultural and religious associations and eliminate them and let every one else alone. Get rid of the islamo-fascists, kahane kach krazies, kansas preacher loons and red brigade lunatics and we'll all be in a safer place...
Now, are there more islamo-fascists than kahane kachs? Yep. That is the way society works. The very poor and uneducated always rise up to beat up and burn down the guy on the hill. There are just a great many of the poor dumb bastards and when their zealots finally meet their fate by death or judicial removal then we'll just have to accept the fact that some other religion will sprout up with a new grievance and start killing the innocent.
Some will argue that the best chance for success against the forces of islamo-terrorism is to allow the blood bath between Suni and Shite to escalate and decimate them. Well, maybe that might help but it wouldn't stop the crazies from trying to kill everyone else.
Let's concentrate on eliminating all terrorists and stop speaking ill of an entire faith. It is wrong. It is evil. It is bigotry and hate. It serves no useful purpose except to inflame and confirm the worst suspicions of those who feel oppressed.
Take all that venom in your system and direct it at the guilty.
Christianity will not disappear; it is a religion, oh yes, to Islam for all ages, despite changes. Islam is limited. It cannot grow with a people; it can only grow inward to a destructive bent.
America, you ignorant Islamophobes! Alright, maybe it's not all your fault. Your anti-Muslim attitudes have been "stoked" by "inflammatory rhetoric" from . . . President Bush. That was the basic message of a segment narrated by Ron Claiborne this morning entitled "9/11 Remembered: Islamophobia" on ABC's Good Morning America.
Claiborne is a feminist: "If it's happening to one woman - it's happening to all women in the world."
The President was very specific in his comment and direction. Claiborne is doing the classic feminist thing of attempting to blur the President's meaning.
Remember, feminism was its strongest during the years that they featured personal stories of one woman being raped or murdered, and then applying the massage to ALL MEN: That all men were rapists and murderers.
Here, Claiborne is doing the same -- attempting to insinuate a meaning which is stupid.
Members of Islam SNEAK into our country. LIE about their "credentials". STEAL airplanes, and MURDER thousands of people; oh so happy to commit SUICIDE in the process. Other members of Islam have sneaily been carrying bombs and weapons to murder.
It is wise to be careful of those who resemble they who wish us dead.
Claiborne calls it "Islamophobia".
Obviously, Claiborne gets a thrill out seeing the murders of others. Gets off on train wrcks. What a pitiful, perverse person is Claiborne.
Analogy: A rabid German Shephard is loose in your neighborhood. Police send out the alert to those living in the neighborhood: Stay in doors! Mad German Shephard on the lose. Neighbor A calls Neighbor B: Did you get the news; there's a rabid dog in the neighborhood.
Claiborne's opinion? Everyone's just being Dogophobia; and stirring up hatred of dogs.
Aptly put.
I do care to draw distinctions, nonetheless: Selectivism. There's a part in the Koran which does speak about "slaying the infidels". There's also parts in the Old Testament which involves stoning adulterers. And admonishment to homosexuals. We condemn those who act on using these scriptures; and rightly so, and as covered in the New Testament.
To my knowledge there is no such "new testament" in the Koran. Nor admonishments to deal harshly with those who practice such bigotry and encouragement to murder, as the Koran currently exists.
One step further, homosexualists selectively edit out the Old Testament, preferring instead to only "listen to the lamp in the New Testament" -- and calling "homophobes" of anyone still comprehending the Old Testament as well as the New. The homosexualists are selectivists; as selectivist as those who only adhere to the Old Testament.
And this is why/how the war on Christianity -- those who are waging to "split" the Bible and tear it asunder wish either a world like Islam, or a world with absolutely no history.
There you go again, reading what you want and not comprehending what I have actually written.
I defend the right of all to declare whatever they choose to believe even if it reflects a blind bigots view.
I'll repeat one more time. All religions get an itch to kill and "it is written" becomes justification for so doing. All religions give the believer the duty of supremacy and the ability to pick and choose the texts they wish to use as proof they are the only correct path.
You need to travel more and meet more folks of a different nature.
Hold that thought; given your reckless bigotry you'd best stay close to home less those you insult decide to take you at your word.
As to my posting history, I can assure you that there is a reason most Jews support the Democrats. We mostly ain't bigots and 'know-nothings' and think condemnation of the wicked should be reserved for the uglies even within our own ranks which is why Kahane Kach members are reviled in both Israel and the USA. We don't think highly of self-appointed, self-righteous 'defenders of the faith' either.
Perhaps you might better spend your time studying the Classics so that you better understand just exactly what kind of bigotry and hate your namesake proclaimed. In short, I'm not interested in your opinions any further at this point. You may have the last word if you choose. I'll ignore it, in toto.
Everything we need to know about Islam, we learned on 9/11, with follow-up tutorials on 3/11 and 7/5.
I've read several investigative indepth analyses of the Koran. According to each of these, the "directive" to murder the infidels is indeed in the Koran; but that certain sects choose to selectively not abide by the order. I'd read parts of the translated Koran in the late 70s; but I've not read it entirely, myself.
So when the President would refer to "peaceful" followers of Islam; I took away a two part meaning: 1) addressing the sects choosing not to adhere to the "murder" directive; and to royally piss off the hardline murdering types by paying respectful attention to the sects not adhering to the "murder" directive. Yes, I know, I read it here: "Bush is a sellout". But. That's not at all how I understood the President's words to mean.
They've already forgotten who slammed into our buildings. And we continue to allow the Muslims into our country. Invite the enemy in. Let the ones who are already here, stay. Makes sense to me.
