I'll never believe that Condi didn't know who Bin Laden was until Clarke told her.I have read things that made very clear that Condi was well aware of Bin Laden and the Islamist threat, but I can't remember where I read it. Someone with a better memory than I have may come along and help out.

This mini reportedly has Clarke's fingerprints all over it. In his self-absorbed world, everybody is stupid but him. I don't like him. He's somewhat fair compared to many, but in my opinion he spins toward the Democrats. I hated when he addressed the 9/11 families in a staged manner and did not call 9/11 an attack but rather a tragedy, with that choice of words implying USA government is 100% responsible (also coming right out and saying so).

On the other hand, accountability is a good thing and some changes definitely appropriate. But one of these is to become more hardnosed towards terrorists. Terrorists did this horribly immoral murderous thing, and are trying to do more. Clarke's implication seems to be that the USA government must play perfect defense. It is impossible. We have to take the fight to the terrorists, and there must be worldwide unmuted moral outrage at their acts.
