I'm kind of curious if there are any other movies Clinton felt that needed censoring.
When I watched Blackhawk Down I felt there was a lot missing regarding white house input. In my opinion it portrayed the military as undertaking operations pretty much in a vacuum and I know it just doesn't happen that way.
to the folks who plan to watch it, please see the "controversial" clips on google video, so you can compare them to the movie shown and note the edits.
From the clips online, he doesn't hang up anyway, he just refuses to authorize the action because he can't get it cleared at the top.
One of the sources for the film is a former Presidential military attache who was present in a situation where Burger was trying to reach Clinton re: Ben Laden and Clinton wouldn't take the call.
So, I think what we're going to discover, if the unedited version airs, is that the author took a known fact set, then created a fictitous scene around it. That's pretty common for most 'docu-dramas', and they're all subject to nit picking from someone who says "I never hung up the phone", where the real issue isn't whether the moment portrayed is a literal reproduction, the real issue is, "did the administration have B.L. in its sights and blow it?"
In a way you could say it's a reverse of the "fake but accurate" argument. In this case, the scene has some dramatic license, but the facts behind it are accurate.
I feel their pain. ;')
The Right should be bringing this attempted censorship to the media. Instead, some conservatives like Bill Bennett are defending the Left's protests.

Actually, my guess is that the vast majority of people in the country have no idea of what's going on "behind the scenes." Nobody I've spoken to has the feintest idea of what the leftists are up to. There's been a deafening silence on the part of the MSM to the senate democrats threatening the licenses of ABC owned and operated stations. Can anyone tell me which major media outlets have been reporting on this, incase I just missed it? I mean major networks and national newspapers.

Disney must face a world-wide boycott. They MUST be brought down. Otherwise this atrocity will only be the beginning. This cannot be allowed to stand. DU can be the driving force behind the boycott. I will never again buy anything connected to Disney or watch any program on ABC. We need to find their sponsors and boycott them also. This IS the FUTURE of American democracy.
Please someone tape it so we can get the unedited version here somehow.
