Re the probable assassination attempt on the President's life early on the morning of 9/11, it's one of the several crucial details that seem to have gotten lost in the fog of subsequent events. Like the ties of Mohammed Atta and at least one of his gang of hijackers to anthrax. Heck, even the anthrax attacks, themselves, seems to have faded from most people's memories. Yet I truly belive they were the real reason we invaded Iraq.
