NATO forces in Afghanistan have been kicking Taliban butt. Britain has already said they'd send more troops if the other NATO allies won't.
Canadian, American, British, and Dutch forces have been doing most of the NATO killing. Spanish, Italian, and German forces are in bunkers up north of the current action (Operation Medusa).
Here's a link to the Canadian deaths (5 over the last week or so). Pte. Graham, who was killed by friendly fire, was Jamaican born, and a member of Canada's 1992 Olympic (Barcelona) relay team. His brother, also in the Canadian military, took his death hard, as seen on live TV. The repatriation of the bodies was seen live on TV in Canada. Some widows and family members had to be helped away from the hearses. We see most funerals also.
