I firmly believe that the Republican CONTROLLED House will pass an "Enforcement" bill and send it to the next house.

There the Republican _Majority_ will probably try to get it to the floor. The CONTROL in the Senate, though, rests with the "moderates" of both parties, NOT with Republicans --- and the outcome is going to rest on what the Demodogs, in particular, believe is the least damaging position for them to take in each of their elections.

It is possible that the illegal immigration issue has finally reached the point that Americans will cast votes based on representative's positions. It's not clear to me yet whether it has... I know most analysts don't believe that to be true yet, though.

Of course most analysts are not going to admit immigration is a major issue.

If fact, IF the GOP loses the house, analysts will say the Iraq war was the reason
or the economy was the reason. They will never admit that the lack of an ENFORCEMENT First bill wil be the reason many conservatives MIGHT stay home on election day. AND I said MIGHT... not WILL.
