Barbara Bodine had only the smallest part in these events. How does she know what is bunk in this production?

Yeah! Why couldn't ABC have made "Pathway" an objective fact filled documentary like "Fahrenhait 9-11", that unbiased film maker Michael Moore did? What a crock? </sarc> Whatever. Pathway was more than objective and I have yet to see ANYTHING that any liberal has put forward that was in the movie that is false. As usual, liberals accuse things of being biased, but never can back it up. They know Pathway is true and accurate, they just don't like it so they call it a lie.

"This is akin to having Jamie Gorelick on Nightline last night."

Jamie Gorelick is a Clinton lawyer.

Well. I for one would like to see some investigative reporting on confirming her broughaha with John O'Neill.

If it happened like that, there MUST have been people there to confirm it! And we KNOW the FBI was not getting any help from the Yamanis...or is the YeMENees? Or the YEmenEES...:)

I thought it was a very good film. Too bad the Clintonistas had to ruin the original.

Google Bodine and enjoy a good read. The lady has been all over. In fact, she was appointed "gov" of Baghdad after the war ended and lasted three weeks. Bremer sacked her. But GWB appointed her from the State Dept. I was amazed.

Things are rarely as simple as they seem.

She was delusional. Yemen is staunchly islamic. They look at women as chattle... lower than men in every way. They had NO repsect for her, and she was alive only because of the U.S. Marines that were guarding her sorry POS a$$!

"And another question: why are all these Democratic women so BUTCH?

Most Lesbian and feminists tend to be 'butch' type people based on my observations and experience.

She has an interesting history and ties, including to GWB.

It would be interesting to tease out just what and who she is.

But this thread is so filled with ignorant comments and crude comments,,nobody seems interested in how GWB appointed her to a big position in Iraq after the war. And how she got away with barring Oneill from Baghdad. This woman gets around all over the place, has a long history with many ties.

Sometimes the adolescent name calling on FR doesn't shed any light, it seems like a vanity. Calling a woman sexually insulting names doesn't prove anything other than the name caller is a jerk and can't think of any other way to express himself.

SURPRISE!!!
UCSB DIPLOMAT-IN-RESIDENCE BARBARA BODINE AWARDED HIGHEST STATE DEPARTMENT HONOR

October 18, 2001

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell presented the State Department's Distinguished Honor Award to Ambassador Barbara K. Bodine in ceremonies held in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 12.

The award is the highest given by the State Department.

A career diplomat with 27 years of service, Bodine most recently served as U.S. Ambassador to Yemen from her appointment by President Clinton in September 1997 to Aug. 30 this year. In receiving her award, Bodine was cited for her "courage, leadership and diplomacy in promoting America's most cherished values and in coping with the aftermath of the bombing of the USS Cole."

Bodine is on sabbatical from the State Department and serving as Diplomat-In-Residence at UCSB's Global and International Studies Program. A UCSB alumnae, she is also president of the Board of Directors of the UCSB Alumni Association.
