Al Qaeda Revenge In Kosovo
Belgrade, 10 Sep 06 (Vecernje Novosti) – Leaders of the most famous international terrorist organization Al Qaeda claim that the position of the Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo and Metohija is so bad that it has to motivate a much a bigger number of its followers to rage a holy war – jihad.
Supporting this goal is the speech which back in the days came from Vail Al Shihri, one of the perpetrators of the Washington and New York attacks which happened on September 11, 2001, and which two days ago was published by the Arab TV station Al Jazeera.
“If right now jihad is not an obligation for every Muslim, when will it be? If we stay indifferent to the humiliations, the teeth of our enemies will bite as deep as all the way to Jerusalem and Mecca, and then everyone will be sorry, but by then that will be of no use to us,” stated Al Shihri.
Al Shihri specifically pointed to Bosnia, Kosmet, Afghanistan, and Chechnya, as places of suffering for the Muslims all over the world, and pointed to the need for revenge.
S11 Police Foil Terror Acts In Montenegro Podgorica, 10 Sep 06 (B92) - The police detained suspects believed to have planned terrorist attacks on the evening between Sunday and Monday.
Veselin Veljoviæ, the police chief, told the Vijesti daily that the police had arrested 14 persons in the Tuzi area on early Saturday morning, from a tip that the lives of some well-known locals were endangered. “After the completion of Eagle’s Flight operation, the citizens are secure”, Veljoviæ said.
Veljoviæ explained that the suspects’ activities were under police surveillance “for months”, but that the police acted “after it became evident that the citizens’ lives were at risk”.
The police confiscated small stashes of arms in some of the houses, while the entire arsenal of weapons was found in three caves and several other hidden locations.
The Montenegrin police carried out its operation at the recommendation made by the Special organized crime prosecutor Stojanka Radoviæ, after the gathered information showed that the arrested persons acted as an organized crime and terrorist group.
Six US Citizens Planned Terrorist Action In Montenegro
Podgorica, 11 Sep 06 (PC NEN) – In cooperation with field operatives, six US citizens planned on conducting a terrorist attack in the region of Malesija and Tuzi, announced the Montenegro police. Four of the US citizens have been arrested while two are at large. They originate from the region of Kosovo, Tuzi, and Malesija.
Ivan Mashulovic, the head of the Montenegro crime police said that the Monetenrgian police arrested 12 people while five are at large on the territory of Kosovo, and there is a intensive man hunt for them.
The targets of the planned attacks were religious and other sites on the territory of Tuzi and Malesija.
Mashulovic pointed out that the terrorist acts were going to be done with the help of ex members of the KLA paramilitary formation, which were supposed to illegally enter Montenegro from Kosovo.

COMMENT: NOW, I HAVE AT ONE TIME COMPLETED AN ASSESSMENT OF REBEL GROUPS FROM 1999 TO 2002 AND BEYOND. THE LIST STARTS WITH THE KLA WHICH TURNED INTO A LEGAL TMK AND KPC.
HOWEVER, LET'S TALK ABOUT THE OTHER ILLEGAL GROUPS......
UCPMB - North (Medveda) – Probably still active.
UCPMB - Central (Bujanovac + Kamenica) - Rumored to have sent 150 + members to Kumanovo for reinforcement of the “cause”. Now, I consider it to be the Eastern Liberation Army under M. Xhameli.
UCPMB - South (Presevo + Vitina and Gnjilane) termed inactive. It is believed that approximately 300 members went to the Montenegro area following the final closure of the GSZ. Members rumored to belong to PDK.
NLA/UQK (National Liberation Army) Blace Border and Tanusevci. It now is comprised of the former ANFI and LAI.
FNCI/ANFI (National Front Liberty Ilirida) - Tetova area, and will operate in the Prizren last info obtained. They may have been used to reinforce the Bitola group, LAC/CLA. Now under the title of NLA.
UCI/LAI (Ushtria Clirimtare Ilirida or Liberation Army Ilirida) - Will focus on Kumanovo area. Look at the towns of Strug and Dibra. Towns in Macedonia. A group of the LAI are being sent to the Tetova are to reinforce the FNCI group. They are using the Vitina area as a resupply and logistics point. They are also using the villages in Grid EM 3681 along with the refugees. (Letnica, Sasare etc.) They are still part of the NLA.
UCGP (Liberation Army of Gusinje and Plav) they operate on the Montenegro side of Kosovo near the Albanian and Montenegro border. They will focus on the Pec area. They have already infiltrated into Kosovo in the Pec area. They are one of the most patriotic groups and are close to the Muslims in Prizren. This could be one of the reasons that the Bosnian Muslims may be split concerning the independence referendum. They are rumored to be well trained and financed. They also have a fair amount of money for support.
LAC - (Ushtria Clirimtare E Camera) – Also referred to as the CLA. They are confirmed to be on the border or the northern part of Greece and Western Macedonia close to Bitola. They are an Albanian American Group, who reportedly (unconfirmed) have roots with the Luchessi crime family that is either based or have a large organization in Staten Island, New York. In March 2001, three members was rumored to have departed Staten Island with $500,000 and bound for Macedonia. The alleged smuggling route goes from the US to Naples, Italy, to Bari and Brindisi, Italy. Then the “goods”, (weapons, drugs, money, etc…) go to Durres, Albania or to Bar, Montenegro. There may be other ports that are not known by this writer.
Black Eagles - Group of organized thugs, who have been cleansing the area over the past year. Allegedly controlled by “high” ranking members of the AAK. The name was also attached to a formed security guard company that has since been designated illegal. Allegedly, they are used to strong-arm locals and extort money, and other activities.
Eye of the Eagle – Just know the name exists. Don’t know yet the details. Unconfirmed information is that they exist.
Leopards – Similar to the Black Eagles, but operate in the western part of Kosovo.
AL Katana - Group of young thugs that are generally considered thieves and intimidators. Primarily located in Cernica, Gnjilane area. Some members of the UCPMB are also collocated there due to the closing of the borders.
TMK - This story is old. “You can take the man out of the KLA, but you can’t take the KLA out of the man.” I know for a fact there are some members of the TMK that are also members of the UCPMB. I also know that members of the TMK carry messages and coordinated action with the UCPMB.
KPC – Kosovo Protective Corps. Even though NATO sanctions this group, it is considered to be a legitimate organization made up of former KLA members. Former members have consistently been involved in illegal activities and connected to UCPMB in one form or another. Recently, a former KPC commander resigned, Commander Osdreni (spelling) and joined the NLA in Debar, near Bitola in order to fight for his “homeland”. They have been involved in community activities, moving old cars, repairing buildings etc.
Liberation Army of Montenegro - Will locate themselves in the Novo Pazir area of Montenegro. This will probably occur by June and July time frame. The name will eventually surface unless it’s just a subgroup/splinter of the UCGP. I have reason to believe that the PDK group, which split from the UCPMB will make up this group.
AKSH – (Armata Kombtare Shqiptare) or ANA (National Albanian Army) They do exist and may have been responsible for the bombing of the Serb bus in Poduevo, killing 11 Serbs. They are responsible for the recent killing of 10 Macedonian soldiers and two Serbian MUP in the Kamenica area.
SHIK – Albanian Intel Group. Been in the area since last year and controlled by Fatos Nano. It is believed that this group may work closely with the Serbian Mafia.
KSHIK – Kosovo Albanian intel. Group formed by Thaci to link with the SHIK. It was formally called the ZKZ under the KLA.

COMMENT: NOW THIS BRINGS ME TO THE FOLLOWING, AN EPIPHANY and CONSISTENCY SINCE I'VE BEEN IN KOSOVO. I'VE PERSONALLY SEEN AN OFFICIAL KFOR MAP DETAILING OVER 23 ILLEGAL TRAINING AREAS SINCE 2003. SO, WHAT FOLLOWS DEMONSTRATES AMAZING POWERS OF OBSERVATION AND POLITICAL CORRRECTNESS. ??????? THE TMK WAS FORMER KLA FIGHTERS. THEY ALSO PROVIDED LINKS TO THE ILLEGAL GROUPS, ESPECIALLY TO THE UCMPB.

Cater: I Do Not Have Proof That Illegal Armed Groups Operate In Northern Kosova
11 Sep 06 (RTK) – The peacekeeping forces do not have proof that illegal armed groups exist in Northern Kosova. The KFOR Commander, General Ronald Cater confirmed this when he visited the TMK headquarters.
“On Sunday, I was in the northern part of Mitrovica and I have personally received reports from the commander of the North Task Force which have not given me any proof that illegal armed groups exist. I assure you that we will closely monitor the situation and we will not accept such a thing,” stated Cater.
General Cater promised that during this important phase for Kosova, KFOR will ensure a quiet and secure environment for all its inhabitants. During this visit, he praised the work of TMK, promising continuous support for its further professionalism. He added that the TMK’s future will be decided in Vienna and New York.
General Sylejman Selimi expressed his conviction that General Cater will help TMK and Kosova in general. “I had the chance to inform him about the positive developments, different training, standard 8, and about all of the activities which we have done”, stated Selimi.
