There's actually a bigger problem than that right now. Or don't you notice the rhetoric of the loonies infecting the mainstream debate? When Democrats try and blame Bush and not Al Qaeda for the "climate of fear"(as if), they are capitalizing on the work done by the conspiracy loons.
The true motivation of these conspiracy proponents is not to convince the public of the truth of it's claims(it can never hope to do that in the short term), it's true motivation is to plant the seed of doubt in the public mind.
