(September 12, 2006)-- A violent rampage that began 15 years ago in Huntsville that left two people dead and a third seriously wounded came full circle just after 6 p.m. Tuesday when convicted killer Farley Charles Matchett was executed in the Texas death chamber in Huntsville.
The 43-year-old inmate was convicted in the 1991 fatal beating and stabbing of his 52-year-old uncle, Uries Anderson, at Anderson's Houston home.
The US Supreme Court refused earlier Tuesday to halt the execution.
Matchett also received a life prison term for killing a 74-year-old woman in Huntsville and leaving a 91 year-old Huntsville woman with brain damage in a beating that got him 99 years in prison.
All three crimes were committed the same week in July 1991.
Matchett was the 21st Texas prisoner to receive a lethal injection this year.

For a second there, I was thinking that maybe we should move Gitmo to Texas.
Then I realized how un-PC that statement would be be.
So, scratch that thought.

I hope that KF isn't elected Governor since he has stated he is against the death penalty..
Farley Charles Matchett is the Poster Child for why we need it.

Thankfully the governor can't do much to stop executions.

Potassium Nitrate! They also use pancurium bromide but I forgot which stops the heart and which stops respiration. I guess I could look it up.:-) Tax money well spent in Huntsville tonight. I only wish that he not be buried in Texas soil. Our dirt is way too good for the likes of him!
