.....gotcha; thanks....!! I think I read somewhere
that the UAE was getting brand-new "Vipers," too, and
they were "right off the showroom floor," and were
Block 60 aircraft... Again, I am not sure what the
U.S. Gummint allows foreign air forces to purchase as
far as weapons delivery/ECM/Stores Management Systems
packages with the aircraft that they buy.....
interestingly, the U.S. Air Force wanted no more new
F-16s, considering them to be "legacy aircraft," preferring
instead to buy mega-expensive F-22s and F-35s, but the
F-16 series continues to be popular with foreign air
forces (I used to work on Block 30 A/C, powered by the
ultra-reliable General Electric engines... they were
great aircraft, and in the hands of a skillful pilot,
were quite lethal....)

The APG-80 AESA radar on the Blk 60s are not exactly top of the line when you consider those being used by aircraft in US service like the APG-79 or APG-63(V).
