Tony Snow just mopped the clock of CNN morning shill
CNN | 9/13/06 | vanity

Posted on 09/13/2006 4:59:39 AM PDT by zook

It was a thing of beauty. The male morning CNN host kept trying to get Tony to respond to the House Majority Leader's statement of yesterday, the one that said Rats were more concerned about protecting Al Qaida than the American people. Tony, rolling his eyes and having none of it, shifted the conversation to the awful things the Rats have been saying and said only moments after the President's 9/11 speech. The CNN guy kept trying to force Tony to "talk about Republicans" and Tony kept explaining to him why that was ridiculous and unfair.

The CNN guy then showed a poll suggesting that 43% of Americans believe Saddam Hussein was linked to 9/11. Tony suggested that this was probably due to the Rats lying about what the President has actually said on this. CNN guy then tried to claim that VP Cheney's statements on MTP last Sunday and Senator Santorum's statements on the Senate floor yesterday actually caused Americans to be confused about the Saddam-9/11 link. Tony hit it out of the park again, saying that both these gentlemen were absolutely correct and that the media and the Rats have been the ones confusing Americans by claiming that "no link to 9/11" means "no link to war on terror."

Tony was terrific!

saw him on Fix & Friends. He is fantastic. Always positive, great communicator. The White House has done a nice job the last few weeks. Too bad Tony did not arrive two years ago. It's an uphill battle to get the edge back on the PR front of this war. They have been awful the past 2-3 years.

The President hit it out of the park when he chose Tony. Tony probably gave up a lot to accept the job with just a few years to go, but has performed with real class.

I have never understood how these ivy league educated, intellectual elite cannot understand simple logic. 9/11 is not the entire body of work of Al Qaida. Therefor Saddam can have ties to Al Qaida while not having ties to 9/11. My 4 year old can understand this but these people cannot.

Tony Snow got it all.

He's intelligent, funny, good looking and has a quick wit.

Bush's speeches over the last 2- 3 years have been good. Even some of his press conferences were great. But having Scott be your spokesman day in and day out...getting manhandled by the dipsh*ts in the press core was unbearable and very detrimental.

My 4 year old can understand this but these people cannot.

Actually, Tony Snow hit that one out of the park too on Hannity recently. He related the story of how we all, when little kids, covered our head with a pillow at night when we thought there were monsters under the bed. Well, of course that really wouldn't work and fortunately those monsters were figments of our young imagination. The problem now with some adults is that they still use that same pillow-over-the-head reaction to real monsters, never ourgrew it. Fits right in with our "thank God there are adults in charge."

Tony Snow is the best. He had nice things to say anout Gregory on that same show, though, and the ancient crone too. He's loving his job.
