We need to stop enriching the Wahhabi kingdom! It's time for a Manhattan project to find alternative oil sources and alternative energy sources.

I'm sure they could get a good deal on the NYT or the LAT. But then, they already own them, I guess.

Muslims urged to buy influence in world media Well, that would solve Katie's sign-off problem. She would say, Allahu Akhbar!
Through her bourqua.
I'm a little surprised she doesn't say that now.
Shalom.

Muslim stakes in Western media are minimal. Billionaire Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal owns 5.46 percent of media conglomerate News Corp., the Rupert Murdoch-run group behind the Fox News Channel. The U.S. channel is generally seen as right-wing and no friend of Arab or Muslim interests. A US channel generally seen as right-wing by liberal critics of Rupert Murdoch who've been hounding him in England and Australia since the 1960s.
More aware viewers see News Corp. executives giving money to Democrat presidential campaigns.
Fox News is to the right of CNN but CNN US is to the right of CNN Europe/World. Doesn't mean a thing.

Yup. Sad. They look to be prospering from following the will of Allah more than we are following the will of the Burger Supreme Court. Big surprise.

Try buying part of the state-owned media outlets in their countries.

How much of FOX do they own already 40% 45% add what they own of companies that own FOX stock, it is probably well over 50%!
Their reporting against the islamofascist and other terrorists and aljazeera dropped dramatically when they saudis bought that 40% chunk

Muslims urged to buy influence in world media What ever happened to the "good old days" of just slicing out the infidels' tongues when they told the world the truth about Islam?

Howzabout urging them to stop killing people? That'd go a long way to improve their image in the media.

The fact that special interest groups can buy large media outlets and twist the way news is presented is not only an accepted pracitce but is publicly acknowledged in this article speaks volumes about why the 'old media' is in trouble and the 'new media' is gaining ground.

And they wouldn't even have to substantially change the editorial views. Putting OBL on Air America would make people slightly curious as to when Rhandi Rhodes stopped shaving and learned proper English.
