The Armenian genocide by the Turks has never been acknowledged by the US State Department.

...like some kind of formal declaration? Historical accuracy is always a good thing, but don't you think our State Department has enough on its plate already? Besides, a lack of formal acknowledgement by the State Dept does not mean that the US denies the atrocities. That would be Turkey.

More like covering it up. You get fired at the State Dept. for mentioning it. And in their various efforts, they have to ban or censor anything that may hint that such a thing happened.
