I doubt Charlie would be the first choice but the point is a good one.

On 9/11/06, MSNBC aired the broadcast of the Today show of that fateful morning. I watched for a bit and thought Matt Liar did a pretty job of running the show while Katie was relegated to quick updates read off of a teleprompter. When she was on her own, the best she could muster were phrases such as "oh my God","this is awful" and amateurish observations and questions of the first few guests after the first plane hit.

I hate to say it but, Matt kept the show relevant and moving.

Very true. She's not spontaneous, and she lacks freshness and insight. She has the intellect of a dullard.
