The discipline of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) has found that most people move their eyes in a predictable pattern when lying--the brain is trying to 'create' a mental image with words of a neural picture that does not exist; the pattern is considerably affected by left-handedness.
However research with sociopaths finds them less likely to move their eyes upwards; in many of their minds the 'reality' already exists; they are deluded.
And then there's the overtly demonic realm and the father of lies....

Yes to everything you said. I used NLP to get over a trauma -- it works. I also see the father of lies at work surrounding the hate-America folks. But, yes, greater is He... those have been the first words on my home page since I've been at FR. Thanks for posting.
