IOWs it is still about McCain and politics just a different strategy. The man just doesn't have the charisma to become president but the media has fawned over him because he disagrees with the president and he thinks they love him, not that they just hate Bush.

--Didn't I read somewhere that Gregory HATES that? He must be known as David.--

Let's just call him Dick.

Just got done watching the reply on C-Span. Outstanding. The Gregory smack-down was one of the highlights (I could almost see his bottom lip bubble), the end, about folks praying for him, was spectacular, and on a whole, A+. When I got done, I said to myself, "that's a guy I'd vote for." Of course, I have already voted for him (twice), but I think most here will catch my drift. I don't consider myself a "bush-bot," just a conservative.

Who is Lindsay Graham, and how did he get elected?

---
Linseed, Light-In-The-Loafers, so many names... He is a one-term Senator who liked taking it from both sides of the aisle. Just my South Carolinian opinion.

"McCain himself admits, in his autobiography, that torture worked when he was tortured. Now, of course, he says that torture doesn't work."

MORE:
According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McCain:
"McCain signed an anti-American propaganda message which was written in Vietnamese, but did so only as a result of torture (to this day, he cannot raise his arms above his head, due to his two broken shoulders from the severe beatings administered by the North Vietnamese)."

Due to an editing error, wikipedia.org failed to make clear that his arms hurt only when he has to vote for measures favorable to Republicans.

To this end the following acts are and shall remain prohibited at any time and in any place whatsoever with respect to the above-mentioned persons:

(a) violence to life and person, in particular murder of all kinds, mutilation, cruel treatment and torture; (b) taking of hostages; (c) outrages upon personal dignity, in particular, humiliating and degrading treatment; (d) the passing of sentences and the carrying out of executions without previous judgment pronounced by a regularly constituted court affording all the judicial guarantees which are recognized as indispensable by civilized peoples.

Bush: “The Enemy Wants To Attack Us Again”
Bush Argues for New Terrorism Legislation

(September 15, 2006)--President Bush urged Congress Friday to come together on a bill to spell out strategies for interrogating and trying terrorism suspects, saying "the enemy wants to attack us again."

In a White House news conference, Mr. Bush pushed Congress to approve military tribunals for terror suspects, calling them necessary to bring the those responsible for the 9/11 attacks to justice.

Speaking from the Rose Garden, Mr. Bush said he will work with Congress to pass an acceptable measure that would allow the CIA to continue interrogating terrorism suspects, a program he calls "vital."

Without a law that lays out clear rules for interrogations of suspected terrorists, Mr. Bush said, the “program won’t go forward”

Mr. Bush wants Congress to lay out clearly the obligations of the US under Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions and its ban on ” outrages upon personal dignity,” which he calls vague and open to interpretation.

“This program won’t go forward if there’s vague standards applied like those in Common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions,” Mr. Bush said.

“You can’t ask a young professional on the front line of protecting this country to violate the law,” he said.

Responding to criticism from former Secretary of State and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Colin Powell and others, Mr. Bush said it's "flawed logic" and "unacceptable to think" there's any way to compare the actions of the US and the actions of terrorists.

Powell warned the president's plans could undercut the Geneva Conventions, and put US troops at risk.

The president also failed Thursday to get the US Senate Armed Services Committee to approve his version of a plan to deal with detainees in the war on terrorism.

Committee Chairman Senator John Warner and three other Republicans voted with all the committee's Democrats against lowering the standard for the treatment of prisoners.

The bill the committee approved would allow suspects to see classified material that's being used against them and would bar the use of testimony obtained through coercion.

Like Powell, Warner fears the administration proposal would potentially put US troops at risk if other countries retaliate.

The debate, Mr. Bush said Friday is “going to define whether we can protect ourselves.”

Sometimes I wonder if McCain knows up from down. I think he would be a terrible President. He is a Democrat wearing Republican clothing.

Who is Linday Grahama? Well, he was a House Manager, one of the guys who prepared the impeachment case against Bubba and followed it over to the Senate to be the prosecutors. Lindsay folded like a cheap suit. He also is a reserve military lawyer who thinks he is an expert on military law, "torture", etc. He is unfit to serve the Palmetto State, or any other state for that matter. He is a McCainiac and one of the Gang of 14 that screwed up judicial appointments. He likes to act like a cornpone hick to endear himselfs to SC folks, but they are on to him.

I think the shoulders got messed up by them tying McCain's hands behind him and then hoisting him from his wrists. Sounds painful. However, other accounts from his fellow Hanoi Hilton borders would say he got favored treatment due to his pappy and grandpappy being Admirals, and Johnny being cooperative.

His injuries were from his plane crash, if I am not mistaken.

Further he was whining after 9/11 that security checked his golf bag. So how does he manage to play golf.

What is astounding is that some look to McCain as an expert on military matters. If any others had been locked in a prison cell in a hostile foreign country for 5-6 years during a war, I doubt if they would be qualified to comment on subsequent operations, let alone make life and death decisions affecting our troops as he has repeatedly tried to do.
