Well, I think we all know why the husband decided to hire a hitman instead of trying to do the job himself. Yikes...

Hmmm . . . .interesting follow-up.
That hubby ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer. Chances of the hired help getting away without leaving some evidence on the scene were slim-to-none in any event, and as soon as they got the employment connection hubby would have been toast.
He certainly doesn't LOOK very bright.

He's obviously a girly-man.

Hmmm . . . dirtbag estranged husband who works for a porn emporium pays one of his convict coworkers to murder his wife with a clawhammer - and she strangles the hitman instead with her bare hands.
Good for her.
Luckily her husband is as intelligent as one would imagine a porn shop janitor to be, and he's thoughtfully provided the cops with enough evidence to ensure he'll die in prison.

Had this guy not committed the felony of hiring the decedent to commit murder, the decedent would not have become deceased.

I wonder what they had to clean up at a porn shop...

Why did she marry this guy?My uncle once told me "Everyone's entitled to one incredibly huge stupid-a$$ mistake in life as a freebie."

Oops, I forgot to tell you sweetie,
I'm a tenth degree kung fu master.
To: kiriath_jearim
LOL If she puts her hands in her pockets, is that a concealed weapon violation? Good for Susan for defending herself but I'll bet she wishes it was her husband himself she had in her grip. That's OK, Bubba will do it for her now.

I wonder what they had to clean up at a porn shop...You do NOT want to know.
To: kiriath_jearim
Porn shop janitor - that is certainly at the top of my list of least desirable jobs....Yech!

Hmm...yes, attempted hired claw-hammer murder is one of those subtle warning signs we counseling professionals look for to indicate a failing relationship.
I'm thinking we give her five minutes in a closed cell with the guy and save the state a lot of money...
To: BeHoldAPaleHorse
That's a strong point. Too bad there is such wide variation in local stautes regarding this kind of stuff.
He clearly was an accomplice - not only did he instigate the crime and pay (or promise to pay) the assassin, he disarmed the security code at the crime scene.
I hope the prosecutor sees things our way.
