Savage Attack: Globe Writer Accuses W of 'Terrorizing' Americans

The Boston Globe refers to Charlie Savage as a "staff writer." But judging by the hyper-partisan comments he made on Fox News Channel this afternoon, Savage belongs over on the opinion page.

Interviewed with two other legal reporters by FNC's Martha MacCallum, Savage took these shots at President Bush and his fellow Republicans:

President Bush is "terrorizing" Americans with the terrorism issue for political gain.

Speaking of the current rift between the president and Sen. McCain over interrogation rules for suspected terrorists, Savage snidely observed that McCain had been a POW in Vietnam while Bush spent the war "back in Texas."

When talk turned to the tactics to be used in the current congressional campaign, Savage portrayed Republicans as those slinging the dirt, with Democrats trying to stay above the fray. He asserted that the national Republican line will be "vote Democrat and die," while Republicans will also use their "huge campaign chest" to go after individual Democrats and "dig up dirt on them."

He continued: "The Democrats are going to have to face a choice of how to respond to that. . . It's going to be very hard for individual [Dem] candidates not to respond in kind."

Hey, Derrick Z: make room for Charlie!

With Mrs. Clinton falling flat on her face the liberal mainstream is trying to sneak McVain into the White House under the cloak of (R).

The media and the Democrats are intellectually and morally bankrupt. They spread deliberate lies, much the same as Stalinists and Maoists did.

See, Air America needs someone with this kind of sense of humor. Savage should leave the Globe and go be Al Franken's sidekick.

About time the Republicans evened the playing field.

(Charlie) Savage took these shots at President Bush and his fellow Republicans:

President Bush is "terrorizing" Americans with the terrorism issue for political gain.

Liberal ill-logic:

Osama bin Laden flies three passenger planes into the WTC towers and the Pentagon and loses one other hi-jacked plane in a vertical-dive crash into a PA field - libs say "We must try to understand them."

President Bush uses his duly elected Constitutional authority to protect the nation from further terrorist attacks including using his bully pulpit to remind Congress and the people that the danger still exists - libs say "President Bush is "terrorizing" Americans with the terrorism issue for political gain."

Can I offer you another Prozac, Charlie?

Oh really?

a WOT?

LOL

How do you feel about 3000+ people from all corners of the world meandering across our borders unaccounted for every 24 hours?

You can't be serious, right?

What a strange way to fight a WOT.

"Can I offer you another Prozac, Charlie?"

Forget Prozac, anyone delusional enough to repeat every DNC talking point is on some serious hallucinogens..... or maybe Charlie's brain could never recover from all the drug intake at a younger age.....

These leftwing talking points began with Howard Fineman this week, he vomited them on Imus, and of course Imus licked it up!

Isn't Howard billed as some "journalist" who works for a "news mag"?

These hacks are priceless.

We are witnessing a truly amazing phenomena. A relatively large segment of society is spiraling downwards into delusional states of mind that far exceed any average form of mental illness. It is some sort of mass hysteria but rather than manifesting in the fast and spontaneous way that a riot does it is a slowly building thing that is encasing itself in ever-increasing layers of rationalities. This is fanatic elitism set on self-destruct.

The libs have set the controls for the heart of the sun and sabotaged the control panel. Self serving idiots like Warner, Graham and McCain see it but they only see the power it has which they are attracted to. Their egos have blocked out any sense of the process of it. That it's a suicide machine.
