I understand that the Russians butchered their own during the Soviet Holocaust. They were self serving low life monsters.

The only reason why I'm pinging these folks, is because of an argument that we had a couple of months back. I put forward the proposition that Russia should be held accountable just as much as Germany for the crimes against humanity that they committed. Some of these folks just aren't interested in hearing anything negative about "good old mother Russia". So whenever an article comes up about "Soviet" crimes (which is really code word for Russia), I like to remind them that not all Russians were innocent little snow white doves in the mess.

I can appreciate your anger about what happened at Katyn. However, it is a lie on your part that we are not interested in hearing anything negative about this event. What we object to is your pronouncing guilt on today's ethnic Russians for a crime committed many years ago by the communists from many countries. That said, you have a right to your anger against the guilty individuals, however, it is evil on your part to use that as a pretext to justify hatred against today's ethnic Russians.
