Put me on the "shocked, shocked" that France would stab the civilized world in the back, again list. BTW, what is France doing on the Security Council as a permanent member.

Is the Vichey government still in power?

Dialogue? They already told us, "No, no, no, and NO."

There will be dialogue after Iran bombs Israel

We're attacking him here, but he hasn't said anything wrong.

That may well be technically true, however...

If Iran suspends uranium enrichment during talks, that has the same result as a referral to the SC, imposition of sanctions, and them suspending uranium enrichment in order to get the sanctions removed.

In either case, suspension of enrichment is the goal and it would be achieved.

*THAT* is a mighty big "if", and given the tone *and* content of Iran's leadership, extreme doubts obtain that Iran would abide by such. Ergo, to anyone with a moiety of commonsense, its a non-starter, thus making M. Chirac to appear either duplicitous, or a complete and utter fool (take your pick)...

How about that they feel Iran should be respected but also how they must stop their relentless rhetoric about nuking Israel from the map? Oh that's right, we are talking about the French here that would make too much sense... Right now in the West you really only have the USA, Great Britain, Australia, Japan and Poland who have a clue as to what the deal is with Iran...

The only left is the Iranian march down the Champs Elysées.

I didn't read the article but I'm trying to think of this maroon's name --- is it Fuque Chirac? That sounds right since that's what everyone seems to say all the time.

"The Persians and the French share this deep sense of the loss of Empire and glory - the Persians pine for the days of Cyrus the Great and the Frogs for the days of Charlemagne or at least Louis XIV or Napoleon Bonaparte."
~~
I pine for the days of the French Revolution when the people rose up and escorted these prissy politicians to meet the new invention, the guillotine! We could use a repeat of that.

Nah, this one is blindingly simple. Cha-ching!

No other explanation needed. The man is famously for sale. He took their money, that is all.

Nobody forgot that in France

Another very good point. - In view of the current situation in the ME, Eisenhower was wrong.
Mullet was right, but Eisenhower was operating under the policy that the Soviet Union must not be allowed to control events in the Arab sphere.

While that policy may have achieved it's goals, we now see the current affairs are worse than anyone thought.

France should have been allowed to protect it's property from Arab seizure.

pretty logical from their point of view...

If that is their "logic," then they had best remember that the US is the only country to use such weapons in warfare.

I believe that it is far more likely to use nuclear weapons to establish a hegemony over the areas that it already has a foothold in, namely Europe.

Sure, the battle with Israel plays great in the Arab world, but Iran is not Arab.
Thats just a side benefit.

Europe had better soon learn who the real threat is, and the folly of "negotiating" with them.

dad won't be back to fight for them again.

Q: Why did the French plant trees along the Champs Elysées?

A: So the Nazis could march in the shade....

Of course he is a crook, that is a given, as I mentioned his "demented corrupt mind". If that is all that is required by you then you could have stopped reading right there. However the descriptions he uses reveal more of the French mentality of how they think, which is delusional on top of the typical French corrupted way of life and needed to be pointed out, IMO.

Let us proclaim that every one of the Islamofascists extant, may get a pardon from the West if they all move to West and promise not to attack any other state. France deserves the chance to civilize these murderous thugs. A little wine, a little cheese and some Jerry Lewis films.

"they never said they would "nuke" Israel off the map. Obviously they need nuclear weaponry to create a sanctuary in Iran and not be destroyed like Iraq was, pretty logical from their point of view..."

What came first, the chicken or the egg? Iran making public global statements saying that 1) Islam must establish the Caliphate, usher in the 12th Imam whom reigns during total chaos, destroy Israel or 2) Saying they are building nuclear technology? It was #2. Look at Khaddafi. It's an example of how you can get full forgiveness by the USA, become more wealthy and powerful through finance instead of weapons etc. Iran could do the same but no, they want the nukes to use them.
