Nothing that Gore says surprises me anymore.
What does surprise me, is that the news media even pays any attention to him. That goes for Bill Clinton, Carter and McCain too.

For the last fourteen years, I have advocated the elimination of all payroll taxes including those for social security and unemployment compensation and the replacement of that revenue in the form of pollution taxes principally on CO2.Of course Comrade Al doesn't mean that he would do away with the income tax - according to the way that Commies speak (and lie), income tax withholding is not what they're thinking of when they talk about "payroll taxes". It's just a ploy (but then, when isn't everything that Demo/Commies advocate just a sneaky ploy), a rather baldfaced one at that, but just a ploy...

Only 537 people kept this man from becoming the President.. I still shudder.
Isn't that the damn truth? And to think Congress is at risk in less than 2 months is a very scary thought as well.

FR wouldn't allow postings from this site. You'll see why.

Taxing hot air? Hmmmm, would totally wipe out the federal debt on just the emissions of Congress Critters alone. Add in the amount of tax that could be collected on the hot air you see in FR global warming and tax reform threads, the total economies of the entire planet would be financed ;O/.

Only 537 people kept this man from becoming the President. No-thousands of manipulated ballots brought the Bush victory margin down to 537 votes. That plus the news media "calling" the election for Gore an hour before polls closed in the western part of the state. And the disqualifying of a few thousand military votes. And the deliberate miscounting of ballots in Dem. controlled districts. Etc., etc....

OK, OK!
But in the end the difference, the thin line, that kept us from this unmitigated disaster were those 537 votes. Stuff of nightmares..... A coup that almost succeeded.
