Gads! Never heard of this before. Where have I been? I've heard about the theoretical possibility of lots of other big bangs out there where we'll never detect them, but I haven't run across this expressed so explicitly (if that term is applicable). However, in my always humble opinion, I don't think we've been missing much. It looks like the anthropic principle on steroids.
