In a debate with Democratic challenger Jim Webb Monday, Republican Sen. George Allen responds to a question about his possible Jewish heritage.

What the hell was that about?
He should have called her a maccacacacacacacaca.
I don't get the interrogation regarding what his granddaddy was? The questioner seemed hostile.
I guess the left is aiming for the anti-semetic vote.
Saw it on TV. What was that bitch's problem, anyway? the crowd nearly tore her apart.
Good answer, and what a dumb question.... So typical...
She was probably trying to tie his support to the war with "a Zionist conspiracy" and possibly, "that Jewish thing."
The liberals are falling all over themselves with their antisemitism lately. Even the Jewish liberals are starting to hate themselves.
It's quite pitiful.
Why would the moderator ask such a question, unless perhaps she was pursuing an agenda of her own, on behalf of the challenger?
Senator Allen demonstrated true statesmanship in the debate at the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce. He did not let this two-bit low-life reporter get away with trying to appeal to DemocRAT anti-Semitism, of which there is far too aplenty.
He frankly and honestly called her to the floor. She deserved to be boo'ed. And when George Allen was done with her, she was.
Allen mopped the floor with Jim Webb, too. He showed why he is an outstanding Senator from Virginia. And George Alllen will be a great President of the United States.
Of all the people I'd like to see take over for George W. Bush, the first on my list is Senator George Alllen.
He's been my favorite for sometime now. I have a great picture of him on horseback wearing a white hat - I just love it. The dems will surely soil themselves if they have to put up with another "cowboy".
As it turned out, the woman who posed the inane question, did him a favor, but wow, it was way out of line.
I'm not sure, probably an email blast from Soros.
This Time, Focus Is Domestic Issues
HERE is Dana Milbank's hit piece they are running in the front section:
The second story should have a barf alert, I guess. It's what all the democrats are talking about now, how Allen is afraid to "admit" his mother has jewish heritage. For the record, there is no evidence of that, and the campaign has said that they can find no evidence of it.
They are trying to spin this like the "m-word" incident. We are in overspin mode in the Virginia Blogs.
The reporter who asked that question had previously (according to news reports) asked a question about whether Allen's mother TAUGHT him the m-word.
If true, it should give some context as to why Allen would be a bit upset with her.
The democrats think that Allen having a jewish mother would be a problem for him, and have been trying for a few weeks now to figure a way to get it out without linking it to the Webb campaign. Getting a reporter to ASK the question is a good way to do that, we could use help proving that the reporter had connections to the democrats.
her name was Peggy Fox, she works for WUSA-TV in Washington DC.
BTW, my theory is the Webb camp had to find SOMETHING to talk about other than the issues from the debate. Webb kept agreeing with Allen, and otherwise being unpersuasive in his answers, like using Nancy Reagan as the reason he supports Federal Funding for Embryonic Stem Cell research.
BUMP and placemark to read later this morning.
Dana Milbank is gonna hate it when George Allen is sworn in as President of the United States. Well, heck with Dana Milbank, it will happen in January 2009. I absolutely adore the thought of Allen-Rice '08.
Their thinly veiled anti-semitism is getting pretty transparent.
