He managed to write a whole column without blaming the Jews or Bush. It's amazing.
Good one. Bookmarking.
He's sorry of that which he spoke is TRUE, although he wished it wasn't. History can not be changed.
That's not correct either, He said he was sorry that the Muslims got so offended by what he said, but didn't comment either way on what he said.
He' s basically saying to the Muslims "it's a shame you are such a bunch of morons"
We can hope that those that don't learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat it.
>>The rage of Islam<<
Shouldn't the title be, "The raging lunacy of Islam"?
He's not appeasing the Muslims but he doesn't condemn them here either for their violent and hysterical reaction to Benedict XVI's speech. Where is his outrage over their threats against the pope, their murder of a nun, their attacks on Christian churches? Nowhere.
He's really treating this whole matter as though it is just an academic issue. He acknowledges that the use of force is contrary to reason and to religion but he doesn't seem that bothered by it. Moreover, he implies that the secularized, de-Christianized west is really to blame for the rise of Islam.
I hoped that the outrageous reaction that Muslims are having to the pope's speech would wake up Buchanan. Apparently, it hasn't.
Islam to Pope: "Say you're sorry."
Pope: "OK. You're sorry. In fact, you're the sorriest excuse for a religious movement I've ever seen."
Well, I could WISH it had gone that way.
Shalom.
