I've been on FR for a few years, so I've got a relatively thick skin, and I know from personal experience (unlike most here) that most of the abuse directed at the French is well deserved :-)

I just hope Sarko wins the election in France.

We joined FR almost exactly 2 months apart.
To me, one of the biggest stumbling blocks English Canadians have when it comes to Quebec is, given they're unwilling to stand up for their own language, historical accomplishments & culture, they have real problem relating to people who see theirs as worth defending.

That said, I also believe insidious de facto Franco-cultural-imperialism & general meddling is an almost totally negative influence in Quebec and that permitting France's msm virtually unlimited access to la belle Province promotes crypto-Marxist attitudes & anti-Americanism on a level rivaling Radio-Canada.
