Allen is a good guy. I could certainly support this man for the White House in '08!

You don't run for President a mere months after a bruising Senate re-election campaign.
Allen could have used the 2 years off away from Washington. Running for Senate re-election is the biggest bone-headed move since Bob Dole resigned his Senate seat after succumbing from liberal pressure.
Character matters. Allen has it.
