It is beyond silly to vote for somebody like Ventura or Kinky who have absolutely no qualifications to be the Chief Executive of one of these United States in such serious times as these.
People who vote for personalities shouldn't be allowed to vote.

People who vote for personalities shouldn't be allowed to vote. To serve as Governor of Texas, a person must be at least thirty years old, a United States citizen, and a resident of Texas for at least five years preceding his or her election. These are the only legal requirements to hold the office.
Looks to me like he's qualified for the job.

No one ever had qualifications until they were first elected to public office.
That's how you get experience. I'm thinking of an actor who ran for Governor of California having no experience as an elected official. He won the Governorship and later became President of the United States.
Doggone it, I can't remember his name.

Exactly what experience did GWB have before he ran for Governor...several business failures? Were people just voting for him because of name recognization? He sure didn't exhibit any executive qualities.
