I wonder how many Catholics there are in Turkey. It can't be very many...99.8% of the population is Muslim, and most of the Christians are either Greek Orthodox or Armenian. The Catholics who are in Turkey as members of diplomatic missions may outnumber the native-born Catholics.

Maybe Pope Benedict should meet the Patriarch on Rhodes--pretty close to Turkey and has associations with the Crusades.
