Looks like CBS News committed suicide by hiring Couric.

CBS Evening News appears on British television at 12:30 AM. It helps me get to sleep if I'm suffering from insomnia.

I was in Hong Kong about 10 years ago and,much to my surprise,saw the CBS Evening News being shown on HK television at 7:30AM (HK time) which meant that it was being shown "live" (7:30 AM in HK being 6:30PM in New York).

I don't know..... but she's really bad. Talks real slow. Acts like her very best friend just died. The few minuts of the show that I always see is a complete downer. But I watch it for about 3 minutes and then turn the station.

For the first few days,people were curious.But they've known for years that she's a lightweight.It won't be long before we see her doing a lounge act atop a piano,a la Connie Chung. Hell, they're all lightweights......from Cronkite on down. England's got it right on this job. They call them "newreaders" which is an accurate description of what they do. Some are more pleasent and look more professional reading the news than others but reading is all they do. It's a joke on us all that people give them so much importance. No group of people in the U.S. is more overpaid and more overtouted for what they do. No one.

I don't know... I would guess that my local cable affiliate knows what I'm watching all the time. I would guess that cable companies can and probably do provide information.

Perky wants to get the audience back? Easy, just start leaning right....tell the truth about Islam, the Clintons, the dislike for the military by Hillary and Kerry, the MSM bias against Christianity, the liberal failing education policies of the teacher's unions, the dishonesty and crime connections of organized labour, Rather's left leaning bias, et cetra....

I would bet the farm if CBS and Perky went that direction the ratings would go through the roof. Will it happen? I don't think so...most folks know B.S. when they see it and Perky and CBS are going hand in hand down the sooey hole...
