What? Are Democratic leaders afraid if Chavez does too good of a job bashing Bush that their voters will write in his name on ballots in the fall election?

I suggest the jump was not to Bush's defense, but to their own. All of a sudden it dawned on the leftist fruitcakes that Chavez and Aminawhackjob sounded just like them.
Yeah, and that's what we've been objecting to you idiot leftists.

The Dems were caught off guard. They probably expected some blustery rhetoric but the smile drained from their faces as his diatribe evolved and decended into insanity. They saw too late that America would make the linkage between the global fomentors of terror and their fundamental views. Expect more damage control. Too little too late I hope.

Only two??? I'd really like to believe that this would be something that would bring us together. As Charlie Daniels said, "We may have done a little bit of fightin' amongst ourselves/but you outside people best leave us alone."

It would be nice, for a moment, to imagine that the Democrats were having a pang of nonpartisan patriotism. That they cared more for their country than for themselves and are not just posturing for the gullible media.
Okay, moments over.
To: freedom44
They're afraid of voter backlash against them, because Chavez's comments sounded so much like those of Pelosi, Rangel, et al.
