Armitage, "N. Korea to Push Ahead with Nuclear Test This Year"

(Washington = Yonhap News) Cho Bok-rae = Richard Armitage, the former Deputy Secretary of State, commented on Sept. 21, "N. Korea will push ahead with nuclear test this year. If it happens, everything including the issue of wartime command control would be brought back to square one, and reevaluated," according to a lawmaker of Hannara Party(conservative opposition) visiting U.S.

Mr. Armitage gave his view, saying that it is his personal opinion, while meeting some lawmakers from Hannara delegation made up of Lee Sang-deuk, Vice Chairman of National Assembly, Chung Hyung-keun, Park Jin, Chun Yeo-ok, Hwang Jin-ha, and Chung Mun-hun, according to lawmaker Chun (Yeo-ok.)

Bomb Pyongyang.

Right after Teheran and right before the Venezuelan oil fields.

There is no reason to doubt Mr. Armitrage.

This is a very dangerous event.

Send in 200,000 marines.

Sure am curious in what capacity Armitage was visiting with S.Korean lawmakers. Were they buying oil?

Re #9

No, they were there to persuade U.S. government to slow down on the transfer of wartime control.

No oil involved.

Thanks. Armitage is no longer in government, and only thing I found him to be doing is working for an oil company.

Who cares what Armitage says. He has lost all credibility with withholding the fact he was the original leaker in the Plame affair and he was disloyal to his boss GW. Armitage can not right this wrong, so what he says to me is irrelevant.

It's a good question. Why was Armitage meeting with visiting S. Koreans? In what capacity? Why isn't he at home hiding his treasonous face from the public? I guess there is no more shame in this world for politicians and their ilk. Shame is only for the "little people".

My prediction of either September 11th, or when Roh visited D.C., was off. But methinks Armitage is correct on this, i.e. before year out.

Now the next candidate is Oct. 10, anniversary of the founding of N. Korean Worker's Party.
