You said -- "I'll go to church this morning, and pray to God (the real one), and thank Him for all our blessings with the full confidence that He is sovereign."

God was just as sovereign on 9/11/2006. And if we have several cities nuked, in the United States and millions of people killed -- God will be as sovereign then, too.

However, you might be dead (depending on what you do and where you are).

If there is a threat of attacks via suitcase nukes, then there probably will be attacks via germ warfare. (Typhoid?)

You said -- "If they had them they would have used them already."

Al Qaeda seems to have about a five-year planning cycle. They might not have acquired anything until recently (in the last year or so). So, this "if they had them they would have used them" argument is not too assuring, given the facts.

Can anyone confirm for me the expected "shelf life" of a suitcase nuke. It has been 15 years since USSR fell. Would those old nukes still be workable?

You said -- "And I won't let DENIAL come between my family and certain death, if I can help it."

Good reference, but many people here prefer denial.

You said -- "Laughable."

Yes, laughable, if they weren't serious on their side. It's only a matter of time that something happens. As Bush said -- we have to be right *100%* of the time (in preventing all terrorists plots) and they only have to be right -- *just one time* (that's all).

Those really are not too good odds for us preventing another attack here on our soil.

Osama is soon going to attack with his "American Hiroshima" plan where he blows up 7 to 10 American cities with suitcase nukes.

That's about one-third to one-half of the core Democrat vote. Do you suppose all that "retreat in defeat" talk from Pelosi, Murtha, Schumer, and Kerry has failed to mollify the beast?

Maybe more grovelling and Bush bashing is called for. /sarc

Seriously (and sadly) though, when it doesn't happen the Bush administration will not receive any credit from the very people he kept safe. They'll go right back to gnawing at his ankle.

As duplicitous as the Russians are, maybe they're providing technical upgrade and maintenance support.

You said -- "I don't recall any "Warning" before 9-11."

You weren't reading then. I saw it. I read it prior to the year 2000 (some time in 1999). I read Osama bin Ladin's warning to America and his intention to attack (i.e., his declaration of war).

Of course, if you had read it back then, you would have said "Who is that crazy nitwit would would *dare* to declare war on the United States? He's nothing but a crazy towelhead!"

Yeah, sure...

You said -- "I thought he was dead."

Well, our beloved and dear President Bush doesn't think he's dead -- especially since he just announced to the American public that the "hunt for bin Ladin" is *on* -- for sure.

Talk to the President. He'll tell you...

You said -- "Knowing what you know, why are you keeping our wife and children in war zones?"

In case you didn't know it, the entire United States is a war zone. How come you are still here?

El Shukrijumah doesnt need to use old USSR nukes. He has fresh material and is a nuculear engineer to boot.

See: http://www.canadafreepress.com/2006/paul-williams091806.htm

"To prepare for this mission, Shukrijumah and fellow al Qaeda agents Anas al Liby, Jaber A. Elbaneh, and Amer el Matti, purportedly were sent to McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, a facility that boasted a five-megawatt nuclear research reactor, the largest reactor of any educational facility in Canada. At McMaster, Adnan reportedly kept to himself, made few new friends or acquaintances, kept strictly to his studies, and left the facility at the same time as his colleagues.[xiii] He also managed to obtain employment at the reactor - - allegedly as a guide.[xiv] Adnan's"normal' behavior on the Hamilton campus, a source said, gave him entry to places where dangerous materials were stored without raising undue suspicion. Bit by bit, the al-Qaeda operative allegedly managed to pilfer approximately 180 pounds of nuclear material from the university - - enough to build several radiological bombs.[xv]"

Yikes!!!!!!!!

Because our government has been infiltrated by a bunch of eunichs, where are all the men from this country? Why can't we get them into the decision making positions?

Right, Ollie North said after 9/11 that was their biggest hit if they had anything bigger they would have used it instead.
who really believes a jihadist can sit on a suitcase and not use it. They would drive right to israel with it in a truck.

history has shown that when the sleeping giant was awakened all hell breaks out.
Sad to say my friend that the giant seems to fall back to sleep easily. The next 9/11 will just be totally blamed on Bush and I doubt we will have the balls to do what we should have done in the first place.
The way to do it is put certain "backers of terrorism" on notice AHEAD of time. "If there is another attack you will be held responsible and your country will be turned to glass within 24 hours "

You are right on. God people I hope this is all BS. BUT and a Very big BUT and the one that worries me is the warnings that have been issued. Osama HAS to follow Islamic law and tradition or he will be discredited. Whether he really BELIEVES it or not-his followers damn well sure do. The cycle of warnings is a CLEAR indication that something is up. They would discredit themselves out of existence if their was no follow up.

GEEZ...stop thinking they think like us. The post attack reaction would be horrible. Infrastructure would be majorlly disrupted. Even little things that keep us going, to distract us or give us a break would be gone-such a sports events, etc. You have a city taken out-well the stadium and players(mostly) would be gone as well.

LISTEN-I'm not trying to be a chicken little. But if you play out the scenario...Why would you not be ready? So what-you have extra food and stuff. Look at Katrina. Hey I live in Rochester NY. Probably not on the list...But I do live close enough to the city where too many people rely on the gov't for everything and live day to day. Something happens and they can't waltz to the local supermarket or the check is not in the mail...well my shotgun will be used as a bit of a deterrent. Hey-again think of Katrina. You thought people freaked out-just imagine what would happen if a WMD attack occurred. Perhaps not Mel Gibson Thunderdome stuff...BUT some desperate people.

Hope and pray that I'm wrong...think it probably won't happen..but what if. REad up on the Fatwa warnings-thats the key that has given me pause. Whew!!

You really think a suitcase bomb would solidify a common response ? Half the country will blame Bush for it ..You KNOW that . Half this country is TOTALLY brainwashed. We were attacked on 9/11 . You would have thought that would unify us and we are more divided then ever ( because of Dems wanting power more then survival of the country) . I doubt another attack will unify anything .Sad, but that's my take on it .
