I guess when I saw *ports*, I just automatically assumed (blush) NO, what with all the talk about rebuilding the city. I was thinking Nagin; got my people confused.

You're right, NO is not the rest of LA, just as NYC is all of NY. I should know better. I'm constantly hearing that one. If it weren't for NYC, we'd be a red state.

Lake Charles has the only other deep water port in the state. Even though we took a direct hit, this area has done a great job in recovering. The local leaders here did a phenomenal job before, during and after the storm. Something to keep in mind is that that huge new oil field out in the gulf is directly south of Cameron. There has been so much activity in the oil industry area that is booming now.

I was talking about Blank-o and dumb-o (Landrieu.) There has not been one photo op where the two of them have not been whining their heads off about "getting their fair share" of federal tax dollars.
